He gets blamed for poor performances in two of his last three tests - but nobody saw what he had to put up with in those tests for the player inside of him.   In those two tests he had De Villiers as 12 or 13 inside of him.
While the actual player who imploded was in fact De Villiers - Kriel got the blame for the implosion by the idiots on this site.  The problem is that the craziness of De Villiers returns to rugby after an absence of near to 10 months and virtually directly enter into the RC and the WC reflects craziness on the part of Meyer.   
It is as clear as daylight that De Villiers is far from match-fit and that he lost a lot of pace as a result of his injury.   He is not ready for a tournament of this nature and at 34 years of age - he had zero chance to get so after his injuries.
In the process he is a severe handicap for the players playing outside of him and they cannot expect to perform with a handicap inside of them.
