He had a horrible game at flyhalf in the semi-final against the Sharks and now he got suspended for a week because of diry play.   This must be the first suspension ever for this very decent guy

The other Morne got away with murder - tripping a guy and thus preventing a try -- deserve  a much bigger penalty.   I agree with Daniel - Lawrence used the whistle to early - but the incident was so blatant that Larence probably blew the whistle to stop a  potential brawl on the field.

Agree Clever, Morne is about the cleanest rugby player in the game at the moment. And even though his form this season has been all over the place, he is still a very humble and decent guy. Having said that, he is probably only about the 3rd or fourth best flyhalf in the country at the moment, and should therefore not start during the end of year tour.

I have met him twice now, and stand firm on what I have mentioned before on this site, people get very personal when a player performs poorly, but they need to remember that players are people too, and they don't choose to play badly. I still think that Steyn has something to offer the Boks. He has an incredible work ethic and will once again find form.

 Mike..spot on.

Bluebok...agreed he is a clean player. Buy that is easy to be when you don't get involved in a game.

He is past his best just like Jean and Jannie are.

i do like morne as a person but he must take it on himself to develop more aspects of his game and build himself as player more. when he first played he offered more than the one dimensional bulls kick and chase type of player. so he is more than anything a victim of a flawed system. that is why i feel more for young players like pollard and serfontein as they are going to follow the same path as morne.
