Pop up problem

There is a Iphone pop up stalking the board. I have my pop up blocker on full strength but to no avail.

Any ideas?

popups are client side.

Not server side..

IE: its probably malware / spyware or a bot that you have on your machine.

I used to get loads of popups when i surfed a lot of porn.

I had to reinstall my PC.

Nowdays, im as clean as a clinic.

PS: beeno1.... i think you are referring to the ad banners. THose are not popups. Those are ads which have been paid for. A popup is an annoying little window that keeps popping up when you go to certain sites.

Well the mesage says 'Important message! You are the lucky visitor! click here to get an Iphone.

Further, I do not get any pop ups from any other site but this.

We use McAfee here at work. so I doubt I have any malware etc.

Maybe it will go away.

As said previously... its an ad. Not a popup.

It has nothing to do with viruses, malware etc...

Its an ad that was paid for to be on the site.

Its not going to go away until advertisers stop paying for it.

If you dont like it, dont click on it.

If you go to http://www.espncricinfo.com/ youll see they also have ads... advertisers on a site are same as advertisers on the radio. they pay to be there.
