Blikkies, Vlag, Truth, Denny, Xavi, Chabal, Cleancut, Arthur, Mo, Dave etc, you still have an opportunity of registering your point of view on Board practices in the voting string. And if I inadvertently missed you, apologies, let us know what you think

The vote means nothing.
This is not an election, it's a message board . . . and note it's a free message board. None of us is entitled to anything.
The current format of the board has three sections: Rugby; Other Sports and Non-Sports. That's what the board admins have created and that is what we should conform to. As far as I know, this is not up for debate and it's not for us to vote on.
This is not a rugby thread and this talk of how you think the board should be run should really be posted in the non-sports section, aka Beeno 's Tr(*)mpet.

Which is not how this Board has functioned Urinal.. And then you unilaterally decided to sabotage postings that a month ago would have drawn no negative comment in the top section. You in short decided to be the Board Barlee, but unlike him, you don't own this site. So we are voting on whether we go on posting as we have always done, or submit to censorship.

 The vote means nothing.
Maybe you're right but then again coming from the self appointed board manager I find it hypocritical that on another thread you claim a premature victory, now that the numbers have turned against you sing from a different book.
As for my own point of view, nothing's changed, Jihadi Beeno is the problem. Several posters have already indicated their dissatisfaction with his bombardment of copy and pastes and his use of the forum as a pulpit to advertise his so called "Christian" faith and beliefs.
As a matter of fact it is so bad that the owner of the site felt compelled to create a unique section just for him......it's there for all to see, no-one else has a unique section.
The Lunatic absolutely rapes the forum as if it's his divine right. Spare a thought for the owner of this site, what are his thoughts.....obviously some on here don't give a care and assume that this site will always be here. And Moz, you  and Draad will for whatever reason suffer him but you do so at the expense of increasing membership. No-one in his right mind will join this site when  confronted with volumes of copy and pastes of whether there's a God, the Earth is round and Tr.ump.
I don't see an issue with other sports being posted in the rugby section, for starters those posts don't carry on for long, there isn't a volume of cricket posts as compared to Jihadi Beeno's never ending diatribe. For the record when has discussion on Golf, Cricket, Soccer, Swimming etc dominated discussion as compared to Jihadi Beeno's Brexit/ Trump and other rubbish? Sharkbok, I repeat, the owner of the site is a cricket nut and he posts cricket in the rugby section.
The health of the forum is and will always be my major concern, I believe Jihadi Beeno and his rubbish should be moved into his personal section.
As for my vote, it's obviously a 2.
Forget to add, in future I'll post my Tru. mp comments in the below section.

"You in short decided to be the Board Barlee, but unlike him, you don't own this site."

All this sanctimonious hypocrisy from the same small-minded control-freak who screwed up this perfectly legitimate rugby thread out of sheer spite.

If I initiate non rugby content in the Rugby section or non sports related content in the Other Sports section then feel free to point out my own hypocrisy. Until then, shut your stupid little trap and conform to the forum format.

Of course, Moffie, if you're such a petulant little child that you have to go back two years to find me starting non rugby threads (before the other sections were even created!) and you want to bump those threads to the top before wrecking them, go ahead, I really don't mind and it just makes you look like the lifeless, juvenile (and terminally stupid) loser that most of us know you to be.

Denny I guess I have an English view of the eccentric, I see it as something to be mostly tolerated. And personally I don't believe their are hordes of posters waiting to come onto the site, put off by Beeno. I have always favoured free expression. I suppose because living with the old South African censorship system was so frustrating....even if it was a hoot in the movies when the crowd roared because the Censors had missed some innuendo. And we came to this Board precisely because the Supersupporter Board was bristling with rules and reguations. This is the most free Board we have ever enjoyed and now we ourselves are proposing to make it less free. It has to be the wrong answer.

Is there no regard for the reasons as to why the owner of the site deliberately created a site for a single poster?
I didn't express the view that there are hordes waiting to join the site, but I'm of the view that if there is one who is turned away by Jihadi Beeno's bombardment of copy and paste non rugby related posts then it's one unnecessarily lost.
Right now several have raised objections, have a count  of the posters who are sick of his unadulterated crap.

Freedom comes with a sense of responsibility, Jihadi Beeno abuses the freedom we all enjoy.
kinda reminds me of your objections to the salacious fake story CNN ran on Tr.ump. CNN it now appears showed a lack of responsibility while abusing  their freedom.

Oh get a life. Everybody is crapping himself/herself over Beeno's shenanigans. I am no fan of Beeno. Never has been and probably never will be but this is stupid and childish. This forum has so many technical faults and yet there are a few who are p!ssing themselves over nothing. Go have a look at the Planet Rugby forum. They have one section, and one only. Nobody gives a crap and they keep on posting. The golden rule of "foruming", if there could be such a word, is that if you don't like it then fecking ignore it. I do not care if there are one, two, three or whatever number of sections.
The whole Tru.mp/US Election/Hillary saga is an interesting one with very interesting and intriguing undertones. Does that mean that I read Beeno's crap? No ways. Does it mean that I know nothing about it? No, I have been reading and listening a lot about it. Does it mean that I don't have an opinion about it? Of course I have.
The irony is that there are, at the moment, four topics at the top of the main page in the rugby forum that has nothing to do with rugby. In fact, three of the four are all about this very same subject. They all belong in the same damn thread, but you guys are crapping on about Beeno's post.
I agree with Mozart. If you want to be so pedantic then nothing that is not 100% rugby should be in the rugby section. That include Denny's (who, BTW, is one of those who started a new thread on an existing subject) cricket posts.

"Go have a look at the Planet Rugby forum. They have one section, and one only."

Yes, the PR admins only have one section which is why anything and everything is posted in that one section.

On this board however, the admins have created three distinctly separate sections. Notice the difference?

Not sure how this observation is supporting your argument.

Well, I think Edd created Beeno's Trum.pet in jest. Some on this board actually asked Ed to do so. Even the word filter has a lot of absurdities. I can't recall one instance where Ed removed a Beeno thread or asked him to post on the designated sections. For a while Beenz stuck to the arrangement and only started creating off topic threads in the rugby section after lots of other posters did the same. ATM it looks like a few posters on here will tolerate non rugby threads in the top section as long as it's not one of Beeno's threads...hypocrisy anyone? As for myself, I don't really care. The more the merrier .  We are all here for our love of rugby. First and foremost. If there is non rugby content, so what? If you don't like it, don't read it. Whinging about it is actually just as big a pain in the ass as non rugby content.
I loved the recent US ellection cycle and it is of international importance.

Mozart, you have now defined option 1 so that it's undesirable to me.
In the beginning it was not stated that option 1 included censorship my understanding was that we would simply respect "a guideline" and not post a non-rugby posts with exceptions here and there (other sports, etc). Option 1 would also include banter and the tit-for-tat that goes on between you and CleverMike for example (most of this is somewhat rugby related).
The main objective of option 1 is to ask posters not to post political, religious posts and posts on topics like climate change in the rugby section but to do this in the Beeno section. Frankly this type of posting doesn't happen much except in he off season when there is not much to discuss rugby-wise anyway. Even Beeno has followed this pretty much until the rugby season ended & then of course he lost control completely.
You can call it whatever option you like but IMO posters should be asked to respect a guideline and no one should be censoring the forum. My recollection is that this was what was agreed last year.

Well let's review the logic. The main reason for a pure Rugby Board is it will apparently attract posters who find the distraction of politiics, religion and other sports too onerous. They wont come. And validating this bias Rooiurinal has been running down if not sabotaging posts on other sports. ........... This leaves us with pure rugby. The dialogue you have going with HasBeen doesn't fit that. Nor does Urinal's attacks on other posters, Chabal's Russian ramblings and Bricy's anti South African rants. All of this stuff will have to go to acheive a pure rugby dialogue. ............ My own view is it's all nonsense. That barring a few excesses the Board is enjoyable and inclusive. That few if any serious candidates are turned away by non rugby content....witness everybody who posts here, who to a poster are rugby nuts. ............. But believe what you wish, Urinal, Snark and a few others want a pure rugby Board....no other sports except down in a section posters visit as an afterthought. ............... Having been on several Boards, notably Supersupporter where faceless internet people censored comment, I particularly value the freedom we enjoy here. Fortunately the Posters on the Board have voted 2 to 1 in favour of a free enjoyable Board.

I've never felt threatened by Jihadi Beeno....neither have I or anyone else asked for him to be censored.
For obvious reasons the owner decided to provide him with his own unique section.
BTW have a look at that section and see for yourself the amount of attraction Jihadi Beeno has received.

DB, I don't want anyone to be banned or censored. Beeno is great fun and he was respecting the request of the Admin by posting his nonsense in the Beeno section. These days he's not posting anyway as far as I can tell. Probably on his way to the US for the inauguration.
What I want is for us to agree on some guidelines - which we did last year already.
As for now characterizing posters as "liberal" and then attributing beliefs to them this is the usual misdirection tactic.

JW, we agreed on guidelines and Beeno complied. Lots of others didn't, Beenz saw the hipocracy and went back to his previous ways. Why is it fine for others to bend the rules but not Beeno? I've tried to stick to the rules and some of the others too, but there are some who actually complain about Beeno, but post non rugby stuff too? Because it's less irritating or p!sses of less people? We don't have to agree on guidelines . ..that's an impossibility. Admin has already given guidelines which everyone choose to ignore, yet they complain when Beeno does? Either everyone stick to the rules or no one does. I'm all for law and order, but I hate hipocracy. Until Edd inforces the rules, we can all do as we want. Inconsiderate posters will do what they want regardless.
