Who will trot out against France in 5 weeks....not your recommended team. The likely team....here's a guess to start: . Willlie . JP . Francois Venter . Allende...if fit . Mvovo . Lambie . Paige . Beast . Marx . Malherbe . Etzebeth . Stephanie . Louw . Kolisi . Whiteley . Pretty awful...but not inconceivable.

Bloody awful and I do not think really up to standard.   For instance JP was getting slower and worse as time went on - he is not a shadow of the player he used to be.   He was a real mess last year - so bad he was sent packing even by Coetzee.
Paige cannot make the starting line-up for he Bulls and he is a club player of poor quality.   I would definitely prefer Venter or Schreuder ahead of him.
The loosies you picked are totally unbalanced and that issue has been dealt with in the media in the past.
I would say the following should be considered:-
15  Willie le Roux, 14  Johan van Wyk, 13  Harold Vorster, 12  Damian de Allende, 11  Raymond Rhule, 10  Pat Lambie, 9  Shaun Venter,  8  Warren Whiteley, 7  Philip van der  Walt, 6  Siya Kolisi, 5  Pieter-Steph du Toit, 4  Eben Etzebeth, 3  Frans Malherbe,  2  Malcolm Marx, 1  Tendai Mtawarira
Replacements :
16  Edgar Marutlule, 17  Trevor Nyakane, 18 Thomas du Toit, 19  Lood de Jager, 20  Oupa Mohoje, 21  Louis Schreuder, 22  Elton Jantjies, 23  Lionel Mapoe
Please note the above is not my team I would select, but I think a team building process should commence  and I believe it should take that aspect into account.
However, we know by now Coetzee is a nutcase and the above would be a terrible team.

Yep you may be right CC, Jantjies and Lomp may be preferred. Mike you might want to add an 11 and 3....but only if you believe 15 players are better than 13. At least Coetzee can count.

U really are sharp so late in the day M.
But it is an indication of the strength of SA rugby today.

I was seriously distracted and apologize.   Was listening to another court case that went against Zuma again - has he ever won a court case and that goes for his crooked assistants as well?
Anyway I have added Rhule at 11 and Malherbe at 3 to the team I think will ultimately come up.

By the way I saw that Ruan Combrinck is back starting to play for the Lions playing on lower level.   I would prefer that the choice for wing should be between him, Van Wyk and Rhule for the wings positions.
There are two issues here - even the NZ wings are not real pace players - they go for players with ball sense and strength on wings.   We need physically strong players on the wing - and the three players are all three better than what we had last year.
Speedy players are for the Sevens game - no the 15 man game.

No need to apologize Mike just kidding....but you're right, I suppose Combrink will be the choice if he's fit.

This is probably the most difficult year to predict.  Coetzee is a loose cannon and ably assisted by the fools at SARU with their hidden agendas it makes it kind of impossible.
I am expecting a delusional surprise or two..

You make a good point about NZ wings CM.
I also like all three wingers u have added.
Malherbe I do not rate as a test player.
Just think about it........ he was actually mentioned by some as a likely skipper of the Boks.
Talk about scrapping the bottom of the barrel.
Scary.
