Samoa almost always give us a stern test. Granted, they've had their problems, and are not of the same standing as the 2011 team, they must still be respected. We need our pack to wear them down before opening up. If they can hit early, they are much harder to subdue. The Samoans naturally tire as the game goes on, especially as they sense the game slipping from them. Their energy is boundless when they sense a victory is within reach.
Our backline selections will be crucial. Jean was poor against Japan. Damian has been poor all year. Surely Meyer will start Pollard. If Meyer demotes Lambie, we will be much better off.
I predict well win, but it'll be won in the second half as the Bok pack strangles Samoa in the first.
