Yes, Hansen has probably been experimenting. Yes, some combinations are still establishing themselves and yes we havent seen the best of this side yet in 2018.

It's safe to say this this will be the most dangerous game for the ABs on this end of year tour, so Hansen will likely not be wanting to experiment too much.

They've probably picked their strongest team for this game...of the players available anyway.

My prediction is that there won't be a great deal of experimentation and we'll probably get a realistic idea/insight as to exactly where the ABs are right now.

A 10 point loss by the ABs. Yes a loss.

Ireland are the only team i'd have pegged to beat them this year, and now that we're at the end of the season and have the advantage of having seen the ABS play a good few games, my feeling is tha Ireland' s chances at are better than i'd have said at the start of 2018.

32 - 22

This is just based on what i've seen from them this year and i'm more than willing to eat my words if i'm wrong.

Note: It's not wishful thinking. It's not Kiwi hate. It's not nay saying. It's not an attempt to start an argument.

There have been so many tests where a strong Irish side have faced New Zealand with expectations and failed. They'll break your heart if you believe. New Zealand by 10. Die Schwarzwelle always find a way.

When reviewing the Ireland series in Australia, I was impressed by the speed of their ruck cleans, which negated Pocock. Their line speed was also impressive. If New Zealand are going to have troubles, one would expect it to be there .

I think it will be a tough game with the Irish trying to limit the ABs by holding on to the ball and grinding out a win. ABs will need to score early to force Ireland to take more chances & open up. If not it will be a long day for the ABs. I predict ABS by 3

I am confused by the AB performances this year,   I think that the replacement of SBW will b a huge improvement and the return of Retallick will help them massively.

I was not convinced by the performance of the AB's against England and based on that alone I think that the Irish may beat the AB's by six points.  However, irrespective what happens I hope the AB's win.

With one win vs the ABs in 100 plus years, although the Paddies are talking themselves up, I believe that deep down they have nagging doubts and don’t really believe they can win. Massive psychological barrier for them to get over so we’ll see....

Ireland are going to miss Conor Murray also they will have to play much better than their last game. Hoping they can win , one point would do me but NZ should really be up for this game so who knows!

Mozart

That is exactly  why I put the team selection on site,  so that members can note whether key players are in fact playing.  Leavy is also out and he s replaced by Van der Flier.

The problem with Ireland is - I believe - is that their player pool is not as deep as it should be and that loss of key players weakens the team considerably.

The latest changes and the rather average to poor game against the Argentinians made me change my mind about the result and I have on Superbru indicated that as well.

Plum,  you do know Hansen deliberately set out to lose in Chicago. The reason is so that there is no longer a 100year monkey hanging on this back and his players backs. Same reason they picked a Team to lose to the Barbarians. The same reason he picked a borderline Team the 3rd Lions Test - well Savea was not going to play again much longer in the ABs jersey and Cruden was on his way to France = The rest is History.

Hansen has not picked a Team to lose this Test tomorrow morning and I think it is very brave of you to blurt out the  " i'm more than willing to eat my words if i'm wrong." I am sure you are sincere.

Hanson.... Hanson’s record with Wales was awful, 2002-2004 was 33.3pc. he lost all17 tests against NZ, SA, OZ, ENG, FRANCE, And IRELAND while also recording Six Nations defeats to the Scots and Italians. Returning to NZ as assistant coach under Henrey until the end of 2011 WC the career of the greatest coach in the history of the All Blacks rugby was under way. Some achievement for this man. Both Schmidt and Hanson were both backs in their playing days.
