It's a tough round for Superbru. The Bulls beating the Highlanders is the only straightforward pick this weekend.

I've actually picked the Hapless Stompies to win (only because the Rebels defence has been so bad this year) and the Sharks and Cheetahs to lose . . . but all my picks other than the Bulls win are by very close margins.

I am the eternal optimist - and hopeful of miracles as well.   However, I would not back the Stormers for the reason givn by you aince their attacking flair is basically non-existent with the team selections made by Coetzee.   So the Rebels have not too much to worry about potential opposition attacks.

The backline has only one player that can make a line break (De Villiers), a whole combination of poor defenders and they also are saddled with Jantjies.   He is an immediate negative by ten points.

What do you thinK I should do with my selection of Labuschagne - I always have him on the bench if he is not playing and now that Cane is injured - I made Labuschagne a certainty.   However, in a news item the Cheetahs said that they will only finally decide on him after the captains run on Friday.   Personally i think it is a smokescreen and I do have a player on the bench who can take over should he not be playing.   What do you think?

i have noticed a correlation between me doing well in superbru, only to have my fantasy picks go down hill, and vice versa, o_O
it seems i really need to get that balance right , LMAO, :oP

i havent made my superbru picks just yet, but im not having as much trouble with who im going to decide, provided the reds make no crazy changes it will be pretty much,,,
chiefs by 10
stormers by 8
sharks by 2
crusaders by 6
brumbies by 11
bulls by 5
reds by 13

@mikey,
is ur hurricanes over chiefs more wishful thinking, maybe a chance for the cheifs to drop some points maybe??? ;o)
canes were awesome when the smashed the cheetahs, but the chiefs are a different kettle of fish all together, then again, hurricanes did whip out an upset last year against the chiefs, but hurricanes still reek of inconsistency.

Lots of great matchups this weekend with intriguing clashes of style, teams in must-win mode etc. I think we will learn a lot about the contenders vs pretenders this weekend.

Chiefs, Saders, Brumbies, Reds and even the Bulls all face matchups that will test their mettle. Read that the Highlanders have been based in JHB the past two weeks and bussed down to the Kings so they shouldn't be affected by the altitude.

Sasue

Why the hell was I in such a hurry and did not notice my mistake = giving a win to that useless Hurrcanes team   I pressed the wrong button on that one - My thoughts all along is that the Chiefs will beat the Hurricanes by 6+ points.

I must be much more careful with what I do.  I was hecking on Test Rugby on the perfomances of Jantjies and by accident present the buy button and there I had that one in my Test Rugby side.  I had to waste a transfer to get rid of the disaster.   LOL

@mikey,

LMFAO, :oD

thats a classic, especially as u topped it off with the janties transfer.

maybe u should take that comedy of errors as a premonition of things to come??? i do need to replace anscombe from my test team, could janties be the answer??? o_O hmmmmmmmm

why oh why did i laughy at mikeys misfortune with janties and the hurricanes??? :o/

while sorting out my testrugby team, i needed to repalace sam cane and i decided after careful consideration to go with luke watson..............................of course the second i bought him, i remembered the kings had a bye, so thats one transfer i just flushed down the toilet, making it two in two weeks, o_O

when u sell players in ur squad, a confirmation comes up which u have to press before it will actually allow u to sell it, why couldnt they do the same confirmation when buying players??? im sure that mikey and i arent the only ones to have these little freaking mishaps. :os

Cheifs

Stormers

Sharks

Cruds (very close maybe tie)

Tahs (brumbies suffering later season choke...)

Bulls

Cheetahs (as much as pains me and obviously happy to be wrong but just think Cheetahs are the saffas best hope of SXV glory this season)

All in all I'm tipping a much happier week for saffa teams in general - and aussie teams perhaps only one win -that being the derby game....
