Alexander Obolensky (Russian Prince Romanov family) played for England and scored a try against the AB's...incidentally Eng beat NZ in this game.

Pozdravleniya Dr Dolya, Beeno byl by schastliv i ne zhalovat'sy... the ref was Grigori Rasputin...the starets...only joking of course...he was killed long before that just before the revolution as we all know...haha

You have only touched the tip of the iceberg with that list, Seb ! 

Prince Obolensky would have scored far more Tries for England, he had turned out for us on a number of occasions, had he not died in active service. 

And yes, he was able to play for us.....he was directly related to the Royal Family, via Queen Victoria ! 

As for Gordon Brown....he played at School. Most kids do here ! And that is where he lost his eye. In a Rugby accident. Very sad, but there we go. And by goodness do not get me started on that man !!!! So basically, you could list most famous men from this country and they would have played Rugby at School, if they went to certain Schools....including many Comprehensives, not just Private Schools or Grammar.
