Has anyone noticed that the Proteas are like the All Blacks of cricket? They spend so much time at number one in the various formats of the game, and often go into the various World Cups as favourites, but when it really counts, they choke. The All Blacks have finally managed to break the voodoo, can the Proteas follow in their footsteps? I reckon one step in the right direction is Smith no longer being the captain of the 1Day and T20 teams.

@bluebok,

very true my bru, the results between the two teams are uncanny in how similar they are, almost a mirror image in both our opinions i guess.

i mean the proteas were eliminated in the 2011 cricket world cup quater finals by the black caps and the All Blacks won the last RWC, some professors call that the identical twin achievements, those were the same professors who gave PDV his PHD minus, bawahahahahahahaha :D

The Proteas are just a much better team than their results would suggest.

Yeah carpet, you are probably right, T20 is a lucky packet and any one of the top 7 or 8 teams in the world could realistically win it.
