The Bulls played rugby - the WP played sh!t. The Bulls scored four tries, WP scored two.
Somebody nearly lost the game for WP by a straight refusal to make corner kicks from penalties. The real problem was with the captaincy, The corner kicks should have been effective when WP had forward domination that lasted about 30 minutes until Louw lost interest in scrumming and other forms of tight 5 play.
The player that stood out was Van Dyk the Stormers no 7.

Sh!t Moz, that was something! Well done Bulle for pitching up. Hanro Liebenberg should be a WP boytjie.
Some posters on my other forum is complaining about the reff . Said he was gifting the match to WP. I was yelling too much at WP to notice. The officials interpreted a few things wrong IMO, but that's normal. There were a few reff errors in the other match too.
Bluebok, what do you think? Pakie, Blikkies?
What about the Sharks/ Lions match? The Sharks 12 looked OK. Nkosi deserved MOM.

I stay with my contention - somebody in the WP set-up deserves a severe kick in the backside. Those early penalties should have been corner kicks and not kicked at goal.
WP earlier in the season specialized in scoring tries - why the hell did they suddenly cringe into playing a rubbish game? They got outscored 4 tries to 2 by the Bulls playing a positive game.
Frankly I firmly believe that the Bulls on the day actually deserve to win the game. They brought in Sage - who to my mind should have been the actual MOM based on performanc e.
Talking about the MOM if selected from the Stormers side I will go for Van Dyk rather than Marais as MOM - he was massive yesterday in both line-outs and in all facets of the play. The guy is vastly under-rated as a loosie,
I think that winning through penalties would always be controversial as referees make mistakes in awarding penalties - as was claimed yesterday, Games should be won by scoring of tries.
Based on the game yesterday there were only three WP players I would rate higher than 6/10 and those are Willemse, Van Dyk and Marais - the rest were average to poor.
In the backline Nkosi was outstanding and Louw at center was also very good. I actually rate Louw as a better all-round center than Esterhuizen - another fit by AO and Mozart is imminent.
The other player I took note of is Louis Schreuder,
I think that the Sharks may have some line-out problems in the final. Be it as it may - they must after the poor WP performance yesterday - be the favourites to win the final.
Maaik, I'm a Willemse fan, but he was probably the reason WP struggled yesterday. WP looked calmer with the stand in FH...whats-his-name-again? He has a better feel for how WP is playing this season. He's part of the TEAM. Willemse is a very good cameo player ATM, but not part of the team. Dobson missed a trick, Willemse should rather have started from the bench.
I'll take a quality test performer over a Tin Cup performer. You haven't been very good assessing centres. I'll believe he is better when I see it.
Quality test performer? You cannot assess centers at all since you base your player assessments on prejudice and actual all-round performance go out of the window.
Here we go again. Cut and paste. Tell me something I haven't heard before, that or at least change the wording. You sound like a racist ANC voter.
What?????????????? And I thought I will keep personal attacks low-key or out. This from the guy who claimed that I started with personal attacks and he suffers because of it.
I just wrote the absolute truth - does he feel guilty?
Prejudiced? An absolute fact? Get over yourself. You tell someone they base their assessment on nothing but prejudice, but offer no retort to the rugby reasons noted and expect to be taken seriously? Unbelievable.
Next you'll be calling your defence of these players "the struggle".
Mozart
Is "barbs" personal attacks? It may amount to mocking you two - but even that may be unnecessary - you two remain a laugh a minute anyway.
AO
Rugby reasons - I have dealt with your fairy tales many times and gave sound rugby reasons to counter the make-believe stories you spread - but that does not count in your book and you keep on with the fairy tales .
Look I wrote that partly in jest and partly in truth. You two swore that Esterhuizen is the next player who walks on water - so if I make that remark. I was expecting a good laugh when you two responded, No sense of humor, he?
I never spoke so loosely about his ability. I actually said that he is not the explosive or dominant x factor player than Frans was at 12. He is however a very good player. An unusually good centre for a South African. He is a stark contrast to the weak splat-ball runners we fawn over. He comprehensively outplayed Damian, was one of the better centres on display. The best part is that he is actually improving. We seldom have players who grow. He is learning an adapting. Damian's game has never evolved. He relied on his athleticism, which wasn't good enough at 12 in the senior game.
Frans explosive in 2012 - really another joke. The only explosive thing I saw of Fat Fransie was that when he made two relieving kicks from just 5 meters or so from the opposition tryline, the ball rolled along the grass and I was looking for a brick to throw through the television screen. That really would have caused an explosion.
Keep it up - the jokes are coming thick and fast.
Diversion again!!!!! I wrote that Viljoen was better than De Jongh - QED. I do think that in 2012 Viljoen was still in school.
However, my latest comments were about Fat Fransie and AO's statement about his excellent performances in 2012. Where did Viljoen came in on that discussion.
Please - I love entertainment and you and AO gave me enough reason to laugh - but lately it became a possible case of serious laughter attacks.
Dup lication
Insanity can do that to you. Just don't laugh too hard.
Inanity remains a problem with people who see things that did not happen and then pretends it did, I am not a shrink - but I think you need one urgently, LOL
As for the Specifics. I know Willemse is still very young, and I am a fan, but he does not seem to be able to turn up for the big games. As I said, it is still very early days for him, and hopefully it is just a coincidence, but when players are under pressure, you can start to separate the men from the boys. So far, Willemse is battling a bit under pressure. I would not say he is wilting, but he does not play as well in the big games.
On the Ref, more of the same. As a Bulls man, ja maybe there were a few calls where the Bulls were a little unlucky, but I don't think he was as bad as the one eyed brigade are saying.
I'll say this much, if Libbok had landed that conversion at the end of normal time, I'd be singing his praises! Very difficult kick, but unfortunately he fluffed it.
Thanks Blue, I thought as much. Somehow the Bulls save their best game for Newlands.
