We emerged from the 2019 WC as  a well liked team. There was the Kolisi story, Kolbe slaying the giants, the apparently humble Harrassmiss and the blonde Dud Toit. And we scored some backline tries in the final….it wasn’t just the maul, although the Welsh game was pretty horrible.

That lasted 6 months and then we pulled the Chicken Run in the 2020 RC. That was followed a year later by Refgate and the humiliating Harrassmiss retraction.

More niggles followed like the water boy story and more ref bashing. The Boks also became visibly more argumentative on the pitch.

And so we arrive at the WC with the mantle of World Champions having seen off NZ in the warm up with the best centre display we have had since JdV. Could we defend our championship with elegance, playing the beautiful game.

Three arm wrestles against Ireland, France and England have put pay to that. Who cares who plays 13, when our 13 yesterday literally never made one ball carry. Surely a world record.

And things have got testy… Bongi accused of a racial slur….and Harrassmiss claiming he used ‘her’ three times by mistake when referring to a male reporter who was getting under his skin.

Once again we will be the team the Rugby World wants to lose when we trot out against the ABs. Screw them Bok supporters may say….back to the circled wagons. Perhaps that even helps getting the Boks motivated. But it’s getting pretty old.

This says it all:

Actually as I pointed out the world has been perfectly willing to embrace Bok rugby. And as I also said many Bok fans don’t give a fig. But then they whine when NZ get all the plaudits. Crawl back into the laager if you wish.

The Boks are more like the 2016 Portuguese side in the Euros, shambling through to the finals. Awful rugby, consistently, and awful behaviour from the chief potato. It's insular idiocy that we see from the pseudo fans who dismiss it. The true fan has standards and wants the best for the team, they don't relativistically accept and defend the worst. It's the Church of Erasputin vs Bok fans.

It's a real shitty attitude to have ........ the "Fuck them all, we are the Boks" mentality....

The "Fuck them all, we are the number one team in the world" mentality

The "Fuck them all, we a re the current defending rugby world champions" mentality

You can still be just as good... just as devastating ....and also just as ruthless.... but maybe with a little bit more humility ...

Interestingly enough, most of the Springbok players themselves actually have the humility ..... it's their supporters that mostly spoil it for the team...

I saw some social media clips over the weekend of what some Afrikaans supporters were calling the English players after the final whistle went.... it was just disgusting

If Bongi is conclusively proven to have said what he did, he should be sanctioned heavily .... because it is outright racist

I would fully expect the exact same to happen if a English player had done it, although I think we all know how those situations are so far apart when it comes down to when a White player does it compared to when a Black player does it... but it doesn't make it any less wrong or right.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but there is talk that some on-field mics picked up Bongi calling Tom Curry a "White Cunt" ....

It might not receive any attention, but it should.... and the only reason why I say it should, is because if Tom Curry was caught on any mic calling Bongi a "Black Cunt", the whole rugby world would be up in arms about it..... and I am sick of nothing happening when black players or people do this ... but if white people do it, the media go absolutely ape shit about it

Treat each case equally is all I am saying

Personally I hate this social media tabloid "he said she said" bullshit surrounding rugby. Leave it on the field and get on with the game. In the wake of every game there's this flood of cheap sensation about on field chatter. Just as irritating as the constant bickering about the officials.

Curry's comments can be heard around about the 28th minute of the game.

That doesn't prove that Bongi said what he is alleging but you can clearly hear what Curry is claiming. No need for social media speculation.

Total repetitive BS invented and spread by a habitual liar.

The only thing that cant be disputed is that fat head Doos and Mozzz actually are not Bok supporters. They are complete fakes.

Here we have the smarting Mozzzz and the hapless Doos having yet another go at Rassie. They have been trying to smear him and the Boks for years now. What the half bakes don't realize is that by continuing their bigoted biased take on Rassie day after day they reveal who they really are. Fake Bok Supporters. Nobody in the right minds can see their comments on the Boks an Rassie as other than an ongoing vendetta fuelled by the fact that Rassie has rubbed their long snouts in it repeatedly. Hahahahahahahaha

Mozzz says he prefers DOOS's original out of the Box takes - like for instance that the Boks have a glass jaw and a soft under belly. The deceitful Mozzzzz could never repudiate this because Mozzzz is far. far gone just like Doos,  Rassie is the worst coach ever, the Boks the worst team ever. But here we have Rassie's Boks in the second consecutive RWC final! Has this ever happened before.

As I go through clips on You Tube mostly by pundits who are not south African I find great respect for Rassie and the Boks. In fact I have never seen on any You Tube clip anything even vaguely approaching the anti Rassie, anti Bok drivel dished up on a daily basis by these two Fakes.

Let's hope there is no merit to this claim , because world rugby have now issued a statement saying that they are officially investigating this claim against Bongi.

If they don't have audio proof then it'll be Curry's word against Bongi's.

Not condoning what he said in any way but I think we'll be ok here. Pretty stupid by Bongi either way.

Can't see any reason at all why Curry would make something as serious as this up though..... and then saying afterwards in the press conference that it does not need to be discussed when the journalist asked about it

As Dave said, with Bongi being a leader in the team, it would be absolutely shameful if they do prove it, which I doubt.

Also, I assume that something must have happened for Bongi to not shake Curry's hand, even after the match was completed .... clearly something happened.

Bongi has been giving the refs way too much lip in especially the last two games ... he needs to be extremely careful going forward
