Hi all - its good news for the wallabies attack... lookout conservative bokke........... Full squad: Israel Folau, Nick Cummins, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Christian Lealiifano, James O'Connor, Quade Cooper, Will Genia; Ben Mowen, Michael Hooper, Scott Fardy, James Horwill (capt), Rob Simmons, Sekope Kepu, Stephen Moore, James Slipper. Bench: Saia Fainga'a, Scott Sio, Ben Alexander, Kane Douglas, Jake Schatz, Nic White, Matt Toomua, Jesse Mogg.

 Some smart changes by EM.   JOC, Cummins and Folau make for an impressive back 3. QC back into the team provides the Wobblies with more options rather than the conservative and reliably predictable pass and catch antics of Toomua. Promises to be a great match. Good luck to both teams.   Hard to pick a winner.   I think the Wobblies should win by a couple.  Suncorp is Aussies rugby fortress.  Hard for ANY team to beat the Wobblies there.

@Stein - slipped thru the cracks with some unrelated thread naming... @Kiwinuke - your objectivity is noted and appreciated... obviously either team capable of winning but certainly is THE home ground for Aussies - not to mention the unseasonal warm weather we've been having - though as a night game should be quite comfortable temps...

@saffex,

disagree big time bro, cummins should have been there from the start with only digby and making room for bieber the only acceptable excuse for not having honey badger in the starrting 15.

he plays a lot like jj, very fast and hard to put down, luckily for the Boks habanas marking him, but hes gonna have his work cut out for him, cos badger is a fearless runner with a total disregard for self preservation.

with cooper starting, the wallys backline should theoretically see more of the ball in hand and that is the rock to meyers scissors tactics.

wallys by 15.

 Disagree Sas, I dont rate Cummins at all.......but we will lose this test.......I dont like the Bok side at all.

 

Meyer sells us so short its laughable

@Saffex - yeah kinda agree I was hoping cummins would develop quicker into the test standard type player... then again only young still and as Sus correctly states he runs hard and fast and not a small boy. He does tend to have butter fingers though so hopefully he has worked on this and we get to see the honey badger in some space.... I watched interview QC did last night and the boys are in awe of Folau at training all claiming hes a freakish athlete.... I think QC and Folau / JOC will work well together as all have excellent attacking rugby brains and just read the play so nicely.... Don't want to get too confident but think wobs looking good for this one - but maybe Meyer has some method to his (perceived) madness?

 Big fan of Cummins. Theres real a mongrel attitude to the way he plays. Seems silly for Folau not to have been at #15 the whole time. JOC is a class outside back but when digby comes back i'd like to see him at #12, Move Lealiifano inside to #10 and give Foley some game time from the bench maybe.

and while we're at it... genia deserves to be benched if he has another shocker. EM said himself that reputation alone will not cement your spot. Start Nic White (against the pumas maybe)

Don't disagree re nic white - I don't know what it is with Genia's passing (box kicks under pressure always been average at best) but he's taking too long to get the ball out... perhaps with QC - because QC is so quick it gives genia more time to deliver the ball out...? And that Toomua is showing up this deficiency.... DONT forget though the unsportsmanlike kiwi behaviour of laying all over the back of the ruck to disrupt genia's delivery... I don't perceive the Saffas to be as big exponents of this type of play (eye gouging yes) but laying at the back of rucks slowing ball no.... so weekend will give good indication where genias really at. RE Argy game - nic white for sure as well as all the fringe guys.... is my call

I suppose I will go to see the game cos someones got to cheer for the poor little wallies ,even if somewhat ironically !
