Is this guy getting the short end of the stick playing for a struggling Lions side? He seems very capable, a natural attacker and a smart player. 10th in the competition for meters gained, 17th for offloads, 6th for defenders beaten and top 50 for clean breaks, which is not bad from full back. Bad stats are turnovers lost, where he's 35th and tackle success of 70% (Fassi is much worse at just 53% though).

Good player, I’d consider him as a wing option for the Boks - back up to Kolbe and Arendse along with Tyrone Green and Edwil vd Merwe

Yeah I don't think he's a bad wing option either.

Quan is a quality Player and he will definitely be a welcome addition to the Bok Backline.

In the Lions team there are a number of playes I like -

  1. Horne at fl back and wing'
  2. Van der Merwe at wing
  3. Van Wyk at center
  4. Wolhuter at flyhalf
  5. Van de Berg at Scrummie.

At least 4 of the bove will be good back up players for he Springboks. As a matter of fact I rate Wolhuter as the third rate flyhalf behind Sacha and Polard and the same applies to scrummie where I also rate van de Berg at no 3.scrummie, I rate Horne and Van der Merwe as really knocking on the diir fior future selections, '

By the way it is the first time I saw Mills plaing on Saturday - there was cerainly glimpes of intelliget play in two cases. I do not really like him playing at 12 - he is not physical enough to play in that position - but he will make a very good 13 if he is chosen again in future,
