Sasuke or any of the Kiwis out there, do any of you know what the injury to Richard Kahui is and why he was replaced at the last minute? I've looked around a few of the NZ rugby sites but none of them say anything other than the fact that he was replaced by Bundee Aki shortly before kick off.

Also, why is Ardie Savea not touring with the Hurricanes team? Has he picked up an injury or something?

Finally, please don't think that all South African rugby supporters are pathetic snivelling crybabies who blame the ref every time their team loses. Some of us understand that it's a difficult job and that no-one can be expected to get every decision right. I think it's hilarious that blubbering crybabies like Baboon-ou and Moffie (among many others) who consistently prove their rugby ignorance on this board and who don't know how to apply even the most basic laws of the game think they know better than top professionals like Steve Walsh, Craig Joubert and Chris Pollock who have survived at the very top tier of one of the most demanding, challenging and thankless jobs in sport.

If you have ever done the jo and refereed a game, by all means open wide the mouth and comment, but then show us a video of you officiating a game  Le-me tell you guys it is not an easy task to do.  Most of the time you are unsighted, your view blocked by some 6 foot 6 piece of meat.  You have at least 6 or 7 other "referee" on the field shouting at you and trying to influence your judgement.  Then there is the mad buggers running up and down the touch-line also trying their best to be the referee from afar.  In our case, there is the "consequenses" after the game with a load of drunk supporters flanked by fat ugly wives and mothers, something you need to consider everytime you put your sweet lips to the whistle's metal.

Now, for these guys at the super rugby level the pressure is high too,nê.  They are sometimes told via the field-ears of some infringement that happened in the mind of the half dead-dreaming AR and then everyone blames the referee, shame.  Sometimes he too has to listen to a lot of player-referees who shout at him during the match.

These referees are all subject to a stringent evaluation by a panel of senior after the game.  In SA they are old refereees like Andre Watson, Tappa Henning and Mark Lawrence.  If a referee does not make upward strides he will be blowing his whistle with me here in the Eastern Cape in the township.. LOL.

Just so you know - losts of things influence a referee and the decisions he makes or does not make, nê!

KaalheadFred, not sure if you're illiterate but I would have thought it was quite clear that my question was aimed at the New Zealand posters.

If for some reason I want to know what the babbling half-wits of the world think about anything then you'll be my go-to man but until then, please keep your unintelligible gibberish to yourself and speak when you're spoken to. Thanks.

Jala Richard Kahui  is poor at inside center so why does it matter. As for Ardie Savea he is too small to make an impact against SA teams

Rooitwit I know you think that the sharks having 17 squad members out matters not and that bent/incompretent refs do not exist but we dont all live fantasy rugby. Bwahahahahahaha. Not as bad though as Stephen Hawkin believing nothing made everything. hahahahahahhaha hillarious really!

Also please just note the canes ref was slated even though the Stormers WON. Hahahahaha ou rooitwit getting it all completely wrong.

Anyhow I hope you have recovered from being beaten by the Stormers after all your endless chest beating!

Actually Baboon-ou, KaalheadFred and I don't need to be introduced to one another. This is not the first time he's been rude to me with no provocation and then gone off on a foul-mouthed and vitriolic tirade when I've given him back some of the same.

Fattex, I have my reasons for wanting to know about those injuries so if you don't know the answers then just say so . . . or better still, don't bother responding at all.

Beeno, you are fighting a loosing battle with this squawking bitch.  He must come here to the Eastern Cape e have just the medicine for him.  We will pull a cows..dinges over his head and then chase him into the field so the bulls can give him some braincells, die vark!

How stupid can one halfnaai be?  Does he believe in old prof Stephen Hawkin - that explains a lot shame the poor lost bastard - lost in an ever increasing wilderness never to see the Light.  Why does he attack me so, is that just because he has no upbringing or because he assumes stuff and makes comments based on who and what he thinks I am?  Funny how these small dicked people always attack others for no real apparent reason.  As for education, one would think that this is a RUGBY forum and not some gramatical or spelling compettition where some halfnaai can scream obcene shit from behind a keyboard to hide his failures in life.

Shame he must be a lonely dumb halfnaaitjie who has nothing in life and thus would hit out at others with the venom he so carefully musters up from behind the comfort of his keyboard in his little "office".

Before I forget Mr. Rooinek, Sir - Jou antie se ballas, nê!

 @Rooinek

Kahui had a flare up of his hamstring injury before the match.  No idea why Ardie Savea isn't tourning, I guess they're trying to tour with the biggest pack they can scrape together - this one's a mistake in my opinion.

welcome back rooinek, glad to see u werent eaten alive by those man eating giraffes at kruger national park, LMAO, :oP

they said kahuis hamstring flared up again which is why he was pulled out of the chiefs game, pretty annoying but i agree with saffex, hes no 12, he played that one game there and was pretty ineffectual, which coincides perfectly with me picking hi for both fantasy teams, o_O

as for ardie, i can only imagine that pecking order is why ardie didnt go, hurricanes have a lot depth in the loose forwards and cockhead hammet has a thing for karl lowe who IMO is the worst loosie in the comp.
brad shields, victor vito, jack lam, karl lowe and faafili levave are all quality loosies (minus lowe of course) and numbers is the only reason i can think of as to why he wasnt included.

ardie is also 6ft3 and 96 kgs, thats not that small IMO, he worked hard to put on an extra 5kgs since the start of the season and successfully maintain it.
he also made an impact when he came on against the stormers, made some real good pilfers but contested the breakdowns real well and made the stromers work for it, as opposed to the almost free ride they had earlier cos fo those lazy hurricane forwards.

SA tour not looking good with jason rutledeg getting called in with matuu out for six weeks, thats both our incumbent hookers gone for over a month, :o(

hoepfully with juloan savea included in the team, hes works his ass into a coma to make up for all the embarassment he has caused the hurrcines and NZ rugby, i still think he should have been banned, maybe his younger bro should have gottne his spot, lolz.

Umm Sas - how could Savea be banned for a case that hasn't even gone to trial yet?  Even if he is guilty surely he's entitled to a fair trial before hisemployer takes any action  - or would you endorse the NZRU and Hurricanes effectively saying 'We think you're a wife beater before the courts prove you are, you're banned"?

What would then happen if the courts then found Savea not guilty?

Seems he's guilty before being proven innocent in your eyes, trial by media I guess.

@poie,
ur right, the full destalis of his charge havent been revealed, but he is being charged with assult on his partner and after his court appearance he read out a statement which clearly said he argument with his partner and he did things that were wrong and that he was trully sorry for.
IMO the logical conclusion is he assulted his missus, which IMO is a huge no no.
i think that violence against women should carry with it a zero tolerence and such an accusation should be deemed serious enough to warrant excluding savea from all forms of rugby until the matter has been settled by the courts.
NZRU should have held that principal to a higher standard, and some of the rugby quality of savea would have really sent the message home to the younger genreation coming thru.
the last thing we need is to go down the path that will make us the same as the NRL, IMO u can get away wit bloody murder there.
i have to admit its easy for me to say punnish savea though, All Blacks dont need him cos of the depth we have with our backs, but i would like to think that even if we ddint have that depth, i would still feel the same way.

I'm sorry but you're dead set wrong here, the NZRU/Hurricanes would have to be the most bush league organisations in the world if they banned or sacked a player before his case was heard, gardening leave perhaps, but a banning/sacking would effectively be an admission of guilt on their part and would leave then open to a greivance/compensation should his trial find him otherwise.  BTW his statement was not an admission of guilt - he's entered no plea before the courts

Nothing annoys me more that arm chair critics passing judgement without being armed with all the facts - the fact that based on his one sentence from his statement you deem the only logical conclusion is he is guilty of assult is bloody short sighted, especially when you know nothing of what happened or the circumstances surrounding the case.

Perhaps you need reminding of another high profile claim of assault made against an All Black

http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/news/2465422/All-Black-Adam-Thomson-cleared-over-assault, should Thomson have been banned also?

As for zero tolerance for violence against women, consider this scenario, Man comes home from work, find wife at home with another man, man confronts wife, wife becomes aggressive, physically attacks husband, slapping, kicking, puching, husband attempts to restrain wife and in the process she is pushed to the ground in self defence, wife calls police, husband charged with assualt.  Should zero tolerance be applied?  Consider this, man walking home from work, confronted by a gang of females, they attack and attemp to rob the man, he strikes one of the assailants, a witness sees this, calls the police, man charged with assualt - Should zero tolerance be applied?   Assault is assualt whether is man on man, man on women, women on man, violence is not gender specific.  If you said that there should be zero tolerance from the NZRU for any players found guilty of domestic violence, then I'd perhaps agree with you a bit more.

I'm gonna wait till the outcome of the trial before I judge Savea.  If he is guilty he'll be dealt with by the courts, and his employer, as he should be.

Thompson case was different by all reports. Anyway kiwi culture is one typified by wife beating... Just cause they / wife don't "get ur eggs"... You cant just start throwing punches.... And having the unfortunate displeasure of encountering too many kiwi women they just don't know when to shut up!!!!!!

I do actually have empathy for some of these young guys brought up in the pressure of the media spotlight probably coming from a history of family passed down domestic violence. Has happened with more than a few talented (most of the time indigenous) Aussie sportsmen too.

On saying that though need to be accountable for your actions and wife beating and kiwis seems to go like hand in glove... No pun intended.

I had a look at Ardie Savea's particularrs and he seems to be a stringbean - 190 cms (6'3") and weighing 89 kgs.  To my mind that may be acceptable in certain circumstances where the opposition forward pack is ot strong.  However, a 89 kg forward is just too light for selection as a forward on higher level and I think that is probably the reason for his exlusion from the Hurricanes touring squad.  He would be totally out of depth in SA - where forwards are much stronger and heavier and lightweights are at a serious disadvantage.

He may have an occassional good gamre against some opposition - but is bound to fail most of the time.   I was snookered until I cheked his physical stats and in my opinion he needs at least another 12 kilos to becoe reasobale compeitive as a forward.  His brother (Julian(  is slightly taller than him - but weigh 19kgs more - so there are a good chance that his data would change in future - otherwise he may not really have a top loosie career.  Give the guy another 3 years to bulk up and he may be a star of the future.

Poooie sounding quite erudite actually. Who wrote this for him?

Sometimes persons under  a cloud get suspended pooooie - how do you see that or is it play Savea at all costs?

Mike 100 kg is doubtful these days unless you are in fact playing an extra backine player like keegan. To do that you must have a very strong pack.

Hence wise coaches like Meyer play Francois Louw at 114 kg.Doesnt get knocked off the ball time and again like wee brussouw etc.  The stronger Deon Fourie seem to do better in this  regard - freakishly strong. If you want  a small type flanker he is your man. Strong, very fast and skillfull with huge commitment.  Make a great 12 as well.

I understood that Julian Savea withdrew himself from the matchday 22 last weekend but he should be fully entitled to play in the tour games before his trial.

I'm going to have to dump Ardie Savea from my team but I don't have enough transfers to sell Kahui so I hope his hamstring is sorted for this weekend.

Redsman, calling all Kiwis wife-beaters is a crass and ignorant generalisation . . . but I see you're also stupid enough to think that all Kiwi refs are incompetent cheats as well, so I guess you're just a small-minded little bigot who likes to tar all people of a nationality or culture with the same brush.

@poie,
agree to disagree, i think high profile players such as thomo and julian should of been stood down, until the matter is sorted, especially in juloans case where all evidence especially his statement is pointing towards him hitting her.
in thomos case, i believe he should have been stood down until the matter was sorted and once his name was clear, he should have been fully reinstated, but the NZRU and thomo should have taken that bitch to the cleaners and fined her ass black and blue and done evrything in their power to get her ass thrown into jail, especially as the ramfications of those false accusations had dire consequences on a promising career like thomos. IMO men assulting wome is on the same level as women crying wolf
i still think that players should be sttod down until the matter is sorted, with comopensation and adequate punishment to follow suit.
as it is if julian is found guilty, the NZRU should rip up his contract and send him overseas to make some cash, its a privledge to wear the All Blacks jersey. the sivivatu incident left a foul taste in mouth and this dejavu is something the NZRU should be more proactive with.

i also dont agree that violence is gender specific. men on men assult is not the same as men on women assult, IMO theres a big differnce as 99% of the time, with the men having the physical advantage, but each to their own. men can for the most parts defend themselves without having to hit a chick, unless ur going out with valerie adams.
as for that man come shome to find his women in bed with another man example,,,,,only thing im wondering is why would u waste any time not grabbing that guy and kicking the living shit out of him. a few years back in NZ our halfback failed to show up for a game, no one could get a hold of him which peed of the coach. the poor dude had gone home the night before and found his missus in bed with abother guy. he jumped up onto of him and had a scrap with this dude and ended up biting his ear of tyson style and IMO thats how a real man handles that situation, LMAO, :oP

spot on about redsneck, but that clown has some major hatered for the kiwis, i prob would too if i loved rugby and was an aussie.

re kahui, i say get rid of him ASAP, he is like brussow and goosen in that he gets injured more often then not.
ardie is a no brainer and transfers this week are a little tight. i gotta get rid of labuschange this week, but will bring him back ASAP when he returns.

i see u scrapped thorugh by the skin of ur teeth with 6pts in the fantasy cup, nicely done, but did u only use two transfers last round???

LMAO!

Yes, looks like I just squeezed into the next round of the Cup. Bit close for comfort!

I have yet to go a single round without using all my Foxsport transfer allocations. I made 3 transfers last week . . . Messam in for Cane, Anscombe in for Barrett and Rhule in for B Smith.

Ardie Savea's non-selection, Rhule's bye and Reinach's injury all mean that I'm also very tight for transfers this week and I may have to hang on to Kahui.

Rootneck - Im guessin your a saffa but maybe a kiwi too ?? Anyway whatever.... I love it how easy it is to take the moral highground when you obviously have so much insight into how I think /or jest or both... seems you're a little uptight maybe because the integration / socialisation of South Africa has worked so harmoniously - it is no doubt now the model society of the world.........................

Prejudices will remain and sometimes for good reason.....

I dont know whether you've actually ever dealt with many kiwis frist hand but one thing for sure I have.!! And they can be incredibly annoying but also incredibly good blokes... their women but.... all loud mouthed opinionated masculane types...... to spell it out for you ( I jest some more)

tides turning too... first it was the English team that flogged the ABs although understrength wallabies with idiot incoherent kiwi coach at the helm still managed a win.... Super rugby dominance of Aust teams over the kiwis this season... Feels good to be a wallabies supporter -

Anyway re the domestic violence issue - there are proven FACTs that domestic violence and kiwis have long history. Recall (if you're old enough and not some PC, gen y, tryhard, socialist which you prbly are) after wallabies defeated ABs in 2003 - there was ample evidecne that the incidence of domestic violence increased in NZ...

Also go watch the documnetry "Once were warriors" for a bit more insight.

To resolve some confusion for my interlectual mates from the land of the long white cloud and from downunder...rooi is afrikaans for red...rooinek is therefore red neck, red necks are those interbred folks from the Appalachian mountains that sometimes get the hots for their sisters and dare I say it their aunts, mothers and sometimes even grannies. They brew their own mountain dew and when indulged tend to feud against each other...deliverance...even their banjos feud against each other. In the last couple of decades some of them have moved to the towns and cities and got simple jobs and have managed to buy things that the American dream makes available...modern 4X4 (SUVS)...you can see them roaring around in the Southern States...a menance to man and beast...beer cans flying out the windows. We get a similar mentality in Saffaland and no doubt they will not be rare in NZ and Oz too.

Rooi nek is also a term the Afrikaaners call fair skinned English men...stems from the Boer War...the Poms skin was fair and burnt red in the hot sun of Africa.

I was just wondering who Redsneck and Rooinek identify with...lol ????

You know, bluebok, if there's something you want to say to me then you should say it . . . rather than suddenly popping out of the woodwork, plucking at your feeble little dick and shrieking with delight when someone else says it for you.

Be a man for Pete's sake . . . or at least try anyway.

Rooi, I am certainly not scared to say what I think, but I have no particuler issue with you, so I don't need to insult you. Actually, I find you quite entertaining, even if a bit too forcefull sometimes. I just found Kalaed's post flippen funny!!! As for popping out of the woodwork, I have not had access to a PC since the weekend, I popped up now, because it was the first time I could. No conspiracy!
