the much maligned so-called quota has had his critics but pray tell me, what is so special about Francios Hougaard? In today's game I thought I saw more dynamic in Paige than in sideways movement before passing, Hougaard....and that's all the latter does...he just passes the ball.
Stepfontein has added a new trick to his armory, the chip kick, every single one has been dreadful.
Hamburger Franchisee Trevor Nykanya, takes up a lot of space and does nothing else. Poor Beast according to some of the experts on here is supposed to be past it, a has been...really?? Perhaps you guys need to re-think that one.
Cassiem, club player, a dedicated nothing Bok.
I might have missed one or two but FFS get this bunch off the park and out of the squad...now!

Well for a start, Derick Hougaard was a liefling and Francois Hougaard is a wannabe scrummy. Jokes aside your'e not wrong. Serf and Kriel have been pretty average as a pair but Rohan wasn't too flash today either. Vorster and  Am are pushing.

Hougaard is a liability when he starts. He is good off the bench as an impact player. The rucks were pedestrian with his usual slow clumsy service. We would have scored more tries without Hourgard.

Tx Xavi, post has been corrected, glad you got my drift, one can only take so much, pisses me off big time when you look at what the new fool is doing to our Bok team. They select players who are never going to crack it and then hang onto them for an eternity, likewise with useless coaches.
Hougaard is a nothing scrummie...end of, that he was overshadowed by Paige adds insult to injury.

HouGat isn't good at any time. Not as a starter ... not as an impact player.

Never has been.

He's a 2nd rate club player who's heart's desire is to play at 9 ... but sadly lacks the necessary skills and talent to make a go of it.

Paige has a much better feed from the base ... he too doesn't belong in the squad ... but let's face it, at least his pass is crisp and on target.

Had some twat not told Kolbe that he is a natural FB then by now he'd probably be in contention for the bok 9 Jersey. I'm with Mallet in that one.
Hougard(TryHard) was terrible yesterday. Notice how his new thing is to run with the ball in one hand. Annoying as hell.
Jessie Kriel is all hype as far as I'm concerned. He's never shown that he's truly got what it takes. I'd replace Rhule with Rosco or Sergeal in a heartbeat if given the opportunity...and obviously if Combrik weren't ruled out due to being white he'd be first choice.
Jantjies had another cracker yesterday. Five from five this year...including his SR form. Guy is miles ahead of anyone else. We'd be up shyte creek without a paddle without him this year time the lsad gets some credit. Not just for his contributions but also for the fact that he's proving SA can produce creative 10s and play around them. I know how that irks you Mike
Everyone's saying how bad the Argies were. Still, jet lag, away from home, hostile environment...good result. Stop all the naysaying he non-believers.

A match against Argie is never pretty.  Always a brawl. U'll pick Rudi ahead of Hougat any day, but Jano Vermaak is probably our best 9. Raymond needs to go too.

I concur. He was good. He is snappy of the base of the ruck. A one motion pass. The bumbling Hougaard is an impact scrummie in fast conditions, otherwise, he is a small wing.

Agreed, Paige looked good yesterday. TryHard seems to overcomplicate matters. Hopefully Cronje will be back soon.
Poor Serfontein is gonna be banned from ever kicking a ball. Went wrong last week and then almost again in Salta. Had to laugh.

Dribble kicks as a try-scoring strategy is a very usable method as was proved when two tries were scored following two such kicks by Viljoen in the CC game.
The problem is that the kick must ne carefully aimed to where the defender cannot easily counter the kick.   Serfontein does not assess the situation before the kick is made.   I t is called deficient ball sense and is counter-productive.

Call it what you will, to me it's plain and simple, Serfontein is deficient in everything, they should not let him in on a game of rugby. It's a shame really because he tries so damn hard. Same with Hougaard, another foot soldier, plodder, same can be said of the Buffoon who picks them.

SharkBok ... I take it you're referring to HouGat as an impact player for North, South, Western Soweto"s C team, right?

Even you wouldn't be so stupid as to think he's Bok material ... right?

Surely not??

Hougaard represents a danger on attack. He is not nearly as bad as some oaks here make out. Seems it is bash Hougaard week here. Paige is as pedestrian as they come. When is he ever a threat on attack.

We will see what Mitchell does with Paige - if he continues as a bench scrummie for the Bulls - it would be clear he is not good enough to be in the Springbok squad and his inclusion is a bad quota selection.   Meyer started the rot here - don't blame Coetze3e on his own for this one.

HasBeen....Faf and Hougaard have their moments, but game in game out their poor service and bizarre decision making cost their teams. Nothing consistent can be built around these players....at best they are impact players at test level. And if I were to choose among the two, I'd take Faf who at least can pass. ... Everybody thinks Ackerman knows the game, he benched Faf, that should be enough,

Neither is Hougaard, at least we know why Paige is there...
