Do you believe Matfield was a better lock forward than Mark Andrews? Just before you fire away I should point out that Matfield had the benefit of the iconic Bakkies.

@ Denny, I think they complimented each other on the field. Matfield's lineout calls were great, but he lacked mongrel, I think. Bakkies was as tough as nails, but lost his cool every now and again.

Denny this is not April 1st so please dont mention wee matfield in the same breath as Andrews a genuine lock.

Tough one Denny as the memory of Andrews has faded a little. But at a push I'd go with Matfield, but only just

Ok Denny, it has to be Matfield, we dominated the the lineouts while he was in command, probably one of the best Line caller we've had.
