Posts: 13848RE: Taute is the backline equivalent of Potgieter

Mozart

In general your comments on issues are correct - and once again you are on the mark here.   The issue is not entirely linked to strength - but to skilfull play.   It is evident that I do not rate Kirchner at all as a fulback - he definitely is poor and should not be in the squad.   However, I do rate Taute highly as a fullback - he played some really top games in that position.   The Springboks cannot go into test series with only one player that could be regarded as a backline cover player for fullback, center and wing replacement during games and I think the answer in this case is Taute and not Engelbrecht.

How  farback didthis glarin g idiot go to find that thread.   What I said int he apst has no beariing on the present.   For the nitwit's information - I rated Taute as a full back for the Lions in 2011 - and I think that the remark wa smade in 2012.   However, Taute did not continue with his deelopment in 2013 - too manyinuries put pay to that.   And this year he was overtaken by other players.
I prefer to adjust my iddeas of players depending on performances - and not keep stuck in the past like the nitiwit who started the thread does.

Don't worry - there is nothing wrong with me adjusting my thinking on matters - I prefer to move with the times.   Don't get mentally stuck in the past - like some elderly people do.   That is why I am so worried about you - no new thinking on matters - just stuck with past has beens and never-hasbeens insofar as rugby is concerned .

When did you see that - stupid doos?  May 2014  I never wrote anything about Pollard.
Your level of comprehension on rugby issues make for the extremely funny - if you are on your moronic IQ level - for me it is a tragedy that you relly are so low down.

Nope. Moz quoted a post where you said that he was a Morne Steyn clone and your gabba agreed with you. There was also the one in 2013 where you raved about Swiel.

"Ja well. In May 2014 we were told that Pollard was hopeless and that Swiel was going to be the main man.".  Is that what you wrote?
When I made a typing error about a date - you wrote a book about it   Now this?   Feeling a boit like Mozart - silliness perdonified now?

Oh, and there was this one as well. Just for the laughs. Nothing to do with the Pollard issue.

Posts: 13637Is Stade Francais trying to get rid of Morne Steyn
May 15, 2014, 15:31:02

A report and photo showed him together with the Paris St Germain Rugby Club and he himself posted the photo.   Could be - because he was a serious and very expensive flop for Stade Francais.

As I understand it both Stade Francais and Paris st Germain at one stage  belonged to the same owner - and the article on the issue quoted them as sister clubs.

However, Paris St Germain is not a Top 14 club and it seems that they are a second level club with no representation in the French international team.

If this arrangement proceeds I believe it would be a massive comedown for Steyn - a second level club in France and he is he to be considered for the Springbok team?   That would be a disgrace and I hope it does not happen.
