The match was really a nice one to watch. At the end of full time the score was 27-27 and they had to play 20 minutes extra time. Spedding then converted a long distance penalty and Brock James kicked a dropped goa; - putting Clermont 33-27 up. Within minute 18 of extra time Racing sored a try converted by Carter. Probably the best player of Racing Metro was Goosen who scored a try and converted a long distance penalty as well. Playing at 13 he made some line breaks and was excellent in all aspects of play.

One question for now. What, in your opinion, brought about the improvement in Goosen's game? His dedication to his language lessons or his dedication to training and his game?

I got another one, how about being fit, having the coaches trust and actually playing.

Maybe Goosen will get a call up for the 4 nations. Given he is in form and injury free it is probably good he remains in the Racing team until the end of this tournament. Imagine playing in the same team as Carter- it would be such a learning experience in running a game from 10.

Being fit and dedication to the training regimes gets you the trust and confidence of the coaches to select you and give you game time.
When I said that Goosen's coach has spelt out what was required of him to remain with the club, I was told that Meyer Bosman's mom has confirmed that coach was a p@epol who was picking on Goosen because of the language lessons.
My question therefore remains. Was it his dedication to his language lessons or his dedication to his training and his game that made him a permanent fixture in the starting xv? My guess is that the language lessons had very little to do with the improvement in his game.

Meyer Bosman's mother is tipping Racing for the final. She has given 10/6 odds

Look Ceradunce - you are still distorting whatever happened in the past and tries to make out that Goosen was no good in the past - yet he was not released by Racing Metro when he had an offer from the Stormers and he was offered a 3 year contract extension - if he was as bad as you made him out to be that would not have happened. Your myth which you created out of sheer ignorance - namely his dedication to the training and fitness story - has been debunked a long time ago and exposed as a lie. By the way - I hope Montpellier beats Toulon to go through to the final - that would present a walk in the park for Racing Metro.
