Racing Metro vs Montpellier - a really dull game to watch

I wanted to see this game and specifically looked at Fat Fransie - Mozart's favourite for the Springbok team.  However, the game was extremely dull and Montpellier was playing Jake-ball - not real rugby
Fat Fransie was not in the starting line-up - an indication of his poor shows in matches.   He had to come on fairly early due to injury and he was a real mess.   Wild passes not going to hand and kicks directly into touch was in serious evidence.    He also missed the crucial tackle on the player who scored Racing's first try. 
This was no accident - he played the same way for the Sharks - so why should Fat Fransie be in the Springbok team?   

 I watched about 10 minutes of the game as Fat Steyn entered the fray. Really boring rugby.

 I am waiting for the match stats - but Fat Fransie was atrocious and on the other hand Goosen was good.   The latter started at full back and was then moved to flyhalf.
I will compare the stats of Fat Fransie and Goosen once available.      

 He was poor probably due to a bad case of indigestion from the platter of double cheeseburgers he enjoyed at breakfast.
Give the man a break, will ya!!!

Now regarding Fat Fransie as u refer to him is concerned. Prey tell me what had u achieved at the age of 19.
Well Frans represented his country on the rugby field at age 19. He was outstanding in the Green and Gold and by the way he does hold a World Cup medal for his effort.
Sure he is not 19 anymore but neither are u.
So lighten up.....relax and hang your head in shame for voting for the ANC.

I am not going to hang my head about anything and definitely not about an election issue of years ago.   Nobody at the time foresaw that the leadership would be taken over by a criminal like Z uma.
Anyway that has nothing to do with rugby - so lets get back to that.   When I saw Steyn playing fir the Sharks early in his career, I thought what a star we have in him.   I was a great Steyn fan until he returned - in a shocking physical condition - from France.  H e was grossly over-weight and not 1% of the rugby player he used to be.
He is slow and a poor attacking player and worse defender.   It was probably as a result of sever disappointment I started to call him Fat Fransie. 

 Very few of the guys who were selected for the 2007 WC are not overweight or out of shape these days.
But like all folks if teams are prepared to pay a player to play for them regardless of his/her physical state who can blame them.
These folks make their living through professional sport.
We are all carrying a few extra pounds these days and sure he is no exception but he is still a good player in my opinion.

Anyone who  couldn't see what would happen once Nelson exited was just dumb or delusional.Much like the boks, a lost cause .... they will never recapture their credibility.

Thanks for the lesson - it is always wise to adjust ones thinking and I have already adjusted mine in 2009.   There are millions others like me in SA nowadays.  

Great news CM just trust that most folks wake up and stop the rot even at this late stage.
Never to late to turn things around.
