The Ranfurly Shield is up for grabs again this weekend with Counties challenging after a narrow midweek loss to Auckland.

Counties Manukau have never won it,

Drawn twice in previous challenges but could they pull it off this time? Could be history in the making.

If so it will be the third parade in as many weeks. Even if they pull it off then can';t see them retaining it for long.

Wonder what the record is for the Shield changing hands in a season ?

Looks like the Counties Boys have pulled it off after trailing at half time.

The Shields certainly getting passed around this season with three different holders in as many weeks.

Historic win though 27 - 24 . Won't do Tana's coaching credentials any harm either.

Perhaps the next Hurricanes coach.
