Finally, we get to the part of the comp where it really matters.
For 4 years we were told that with a 63% win record that we are the best in the world. No real trophy's to speak of other than the lonely Lions series bragging rights, which in honest opinion was a drab affair. Not to mention the chicken run in 2021, even though 18 of the starting boks in 2019 were playing abroad and had plenty of game time under their belt.
So here we are. Of course, I want us to win the world cup, but yet again we can't walk away to say that we are the best team.
We lost to Ireland, but this time there is no Japan, neither a Welsh team or a deflated English team that thought they won.
Some journalist keep saying that boks are keeping their powder dry and will show in the world cup
Yet, not the smartest coaches if you ask me. They are too dogmatic in their believe in players. We really needed a kicker in the Ireland game. Anyway, I can go on for ages.
The fact remains, the boks will have a real test on their hands this Sunday. They couldn't beat the Frogs last year's, neither could they beat the Irish. How sure are that they can beat this French team on home soil.
The only two teams with credibility is France and Ireland. Unbeaten and in great form. New Zealand and South Africa are pretenders and what you see when former great boxers no longer have the fight and hunger left in them. Instead, both SA and NZ have been guilty of not asserting themselves.
So, I do hope Rassie is playing a game and the real boks show up. I want us to winz but neither do I want to be fooled and caught up with his hype machine. We lost to Ireland. Fact.
Is it all bluster or can he muster the fight in the boks to go on and take on the world. The time is now for the real Rassie to show up
