Call up Mallet to help you (of course you also need a great backline coach no quotas please)

Mallet consistently nails it. Great in sight into the game.

He can only be a huge asset. A mature wise head to bounce ideas off and give input.

No charge for the tip Rassie. Any t ime you need help....

Mallet has more nerve than Rassie, but he has a lot of failing himself. I'd say that after all these years, he still can't evaluate players. He clearly doesn't have an aptitude for video analysis. That said, concentrating our best minds on the game would obviously yield better results. Meyer and Jake would be the strongest possible inclusions.

Meyer is a solid coach but something of a one trick pony.

He developed an effective style of play for the Bulls where great Fourie Du Preez was the cornerstone together with immense Bakkies Botha - nemises of the wee abs.

BUT  Meyer had precious little else up his sleeve.

Mallet to me along with Rassie are our best thinkers with Jake in the proximity. Every side coached by Jake improved as far as SH is concerned. NH you tell me.

The axing of Jake by lardy John was a monumental blunder.

Mallet spoke at some length about a Union backing their coach against uppity players.

Ou maaaikie can't quite grasp the extent of the blunder but where are the Sharks today and where would they have been had Jake remained. Tragic.

How good Jake is can be proven by how much rooitwit opposes him. Hahahahaha.

Too many cooks spoil the broth.....if we are stuck with Eraserhead, get a top backline coach and defensive coach.

Rassie worked best with Nienaber. As much as he is derided, Coetzee would be a considerable step up from Stick. He may not be much of a headcoach, but he does know attacking rugby. Under Rassie, and aongside Nienaber, I think we'd have a better chance of progressing deep into the World Cup. Even better, they already have experience working successfully together.

Wake up stupid/  T he Sharks would have been  in the semi if they retained PLUMTREE - that was where they were in 2012 and would have been ibn 2014,

Dan Coles had to take over from Plumtree on Saturday......he sent out the team dead flat. Coles talked some fight into them at halftime. If Plum couldn't succeed with the Barrett brothers, how could he possibly succeed with the Deysel brothers.

" Coetzee would be a considerable step up from Stick

Now there's a laugh.

Both equally useless as backline coaches.....what exactly did Coetzee do at the Stormers to improve their backline play?

The coach who impressed me the most in Super rugby was Tony Brown......had little to work with but the Sunwolves never looked clueless with ball in hand.

So ... the two coaches that brought us nothing but shame are the ones that Poephol wants in the mix. Between the two we lost to Japan, Italy and Argentina on home soil. We also had the worse beating ever at the hands of the All Blacks ... a record score ... also on home soil.

Why not bring Straueli in too. That way we can fini sh the Boks of properly.

What an idiot you are, Poephol.

Tony Brown did a superb job with the Sunwolves.

Nieaber is a great defence coach but Alistair Cioetzee flopped badly as a backline coach hence Jake calling in Jones.

Alister Coetzee is useless.  I would say he is a quota on the basis of how long he retained his jobs.
While South Africa is filled with sub-standard coaches- they would have been fired much faster on merit
The likes of Noel Marias was crap, but at least he was disposed off quickly.

Like him or not Coetzee had the Boks producing a higher attacking output than the much lauded 2018 under Rassie in every statistical category. Is he perfect? No. The only specialist backkine coach I'd bring into the conversation was the Cheetahs coach from several years ago. As I say though, that's food for thought. Unquestionably a vast improvement over Stick. When the Stormers had centres they scored fantastic tries under Coetzee. Not a high powered offence, but effective.

"Call up Mallet to help you...."

What a "good idea".....yeah right, call up a proven failure.....but don't stop there......get clueless Coetzee in as the backline coach.

Happy days.
