Rassie and Baby Bok coach
We are likely to see some surprising changes in the EOYT squad so let's see what is coming up. as well.
Although a mid-week team with more than 30 players is a bit much
I don't rate stick as a coach, neither the baby bok coach. If you look at how the baby boks played this season, I would say it had a strong input from Rassie. Very forward dominant, poor backline play.
I don't see the likes of Gelant, who is on top dollar, his club letting him go to play for the A team.
So I'm expecting a 50 man group, slip into 25 boks and 25 A team. Some on the A team may be drawn into the Italy game with most being send back before the England test.
Also, some of the URC teams will be in Europe leading up to the November internationals which means players would either stay up north or come home for a day or two before they have to fly.
If anything, this is a logistically nightmare

Did you see any of th e Under 20 matches th is year against England, France, Ireland and Wales? They were not confined to forward play and their backline was used frequently - the fact is they wiped the floor with all four the above teams using comprehensive rugby.
The springboks had serious problems at flyhalf and using De Klerk at scrumhalf were disastrous. Pollard was out of form totally - Jantjies was a disaster and Steyn as well. With those kinds of problems at flyhalf and scrumhalf always jeopardize backline play and neither the coaches and the backline players outside of the half backs can be blamed for the problems starting at the halfbacks,
This story about backline defcuency went back to the 2019 WC series and trumpeted by some members on the site with total disregard as to what actually happened in the tests played in the series. Fact is the problems in backline play went back to 2010 and was worsened by Meyer and Coetzee.
An easy test to evaluate backline attacking ability is measured by looking at the total number of tries scored and the percen tage of the tries scored by backline players. That has been ignored for years and he critical members use prejudice to attack the coaches and players for things they perceived to be wrong,

Yes, one game and it was enough.
They play to attract attention from scouts and secure a professional contract outside of their country.
They do not build for the future. Immediate gratification and stuff.
I watched all of those games, like I said, they have a very similar pattern to the senior boks. Very big pack that dominance the scrums and rucks. Most of the tries came from the forwards. The backline stuffed up a lot of good balls. Other Sacha, I don't know who really stood out for me in that backline. But, we won really well and convincingly, so maybe I'm being a bit harsh on Bfana.
What is good is that he is involved in the senior structures. It looks like Rassie is grooming both Stick and Bfana to take over the boks when he leaves.
Still think it is foolish and trying to take shortcuts. It worked for Jake but we failed under Pieter De Villiers. The only difference is that Jake worked under Mallet.
I would rather have someone like Dobbo take over the boks

So you watch the Blocks? XD
There you have it Stick….head coach of the midweek team….after we lose in the Quarters of the WC….Stick as the new Boks head coach. Harrassmiss continues on as Director of Rigby, having put lipstick on the plan.

I'll put our differences aside for this moment to say spot on.....my thoughts exactly. Genius he's not, a snake....yes. He would have sold Bok rugby down a shithole and secured his future as the Director of Rugby in one foul swoop. The ANC and SARU would be smiling and doing cartwheels.
Well said Mozart, we see how the mighty Proteas have gone from Chokers to no hopers. At least when they choked, they still were the best ODI team and Test team in the world, but since the affirmative action took over it is no longer the big tournaments but all the games these days.
That whole team has been hollowed out. The is what lays ahead of us if we continue on this path thinking that skin colour is the right way to build an international team
