I don't know if you okes read the latest article from Rassie where he pointed out that England and the foreign teams are paying for our players and that they are dumb for allowing foreign players to take up spots of developing more talent.

On one hand he has a very good point, but why would you say that? Our players are developing really nicely and have actually gotten better playing outside of SA as these clubs spend more time  looking after them than our local franchises.

Not sure if this will backfire or is it a clever ploy to get SA players back in SA, however, not sure if I was player whether I would have been happy losing all that money.

Clubs are already moaning at the high price and little returns they are getting from SA players. Namely Etzebeth and Pollard hardly playing any games to injury picked up while playing international rugby.

But looks like France and England has been good for our players both development and financially.

SA saving a ton  of money not having to keep all of these players on their books, but I still would prefer our Franchises to have the best players available.

So not sure how I feel about this statement

I think Rassie should rather focus on Making SA Rugby better, than making yet again controversial comments.....he just can’t help himself, first the Berry story and leaked tape and now again saying things that could have been left....yet again the bitterness comes to the fore......just get over yourself already....because in no ways is this helping SA Rugby and improving our image that he himself has damaged....very much narcissistic behaviour.

Interesting, MPower, Ja, it is very hard to label someone a narcissist and then completely avoid them. They tend to be really charismatic, talented and have normally have some achievements.

Makes me think of Will  Smith, use to love him in the 90s but then his head got bigger and bigger to the point that I simply no longer could watch any of his films because it was all about him or the type of characters he chose to play.

To crown it off, slap a fellow actor and comedian on live TV and gets away with it.

So Ja, I rate Rassie as a coach but he is now on this self promotion tour, writing  a column in the Daily Mail here in the UK is signs that he is starting down the wrong track.

I'll reserve my judgement but the boks better pull up their socks this year as I don't think we should accept a 7/5 win ratio as successful.

France is breathing heavy down our necks and probably the best team right now. But they are also not complete yet  and probably peaking at the right time as next year is WC.

We have about 16 matches left but expect us to stay number one and win our games or it will be a very short world cup for us as we will face both the all blacks and France up to the quarter finals

Spot on King...Will is a perfect example what a dickhead slapping Chris on public tv....this will definitely not help his career.....and I used to love rassie but nowadays he has this obsession with self importance....and that does not sit well with people in the long run....in Afrikaans you would say: “ Hy krap dar, waar dit nie juk nie”- I rate him also as coach and motivator, but just get down to earth again, ergo pls Rassie, get over yourself and put all your focus on winning the WC and for the Boks- be humble....but I guess he can’t anymore.

Ja, Rassie need to stop angling for the English job, just saw that he posted his England 15 team as well. He is the Director of Rugby and should be focussing on SA Rugby matters. NOT, who the best English players are.

I would love for the boks to become consistent, have a perfect year and go on to win the World Cup

He can angle for the England job as much as he likes; the RFU couldn’t have been clearer about the job going to an Englishman.

I wonder if Rassie will step down from the Boks after the world cup.
He certainly appears to be expressing interest in the England coaching job.
Proudfoot (England forwards coach, and ex-Bok forwards coach) does not appear to be doing well as England's Forward coach, so it looks like Rassie is the man making it all happen

Who knows what to believe nowadays....he did say that if South Africans are going to hate him if he had to coach Eng, he won’t take the job...but he is clearly testing the waters for something or maybe just a tactic to annoy Eng and governing Body after he was found guilty ....one thing I have noticed is that Jaques Nienaber stays quiet and focused on the task at hand of coaching the Boks....Rassie should take note of that example and do the same.
