For the two Argie tests I’m guessing the likes of Willie, Kolbe, Kriel, de Allende, Ox, Bongi, Marx, Malherbe, Etzebeth, Kolisi and PSDT will be rested and stay at home Players that have been out of action and need game time will no doubt travel to Argentina. This includes Willemse (if ready), Am, Kitshoff and Moodie. Others that have been sparingly used will no doubt travel like Fassi, Esterhuizen, Libbok, Hendrikse, Wessels, Thomas, Grobelaar, Moerat, BJ Dixon, Elrigh Louw and Wiese Arendse missed the last test so will probably travel So what do we have: 15. Fassi 11/14. Arendse / Moodie 13/12. Am / Esterhuizen 10. Sacha / Libbok 9. Williams / Hendrikse 1. Steenkamp / Wessels 2. Grobelaar / AH Venter 3. Thomas 4/5. Moerat / Nortje 6/7/8. Kwagga / BJ Dixon / v Staaden / Wiese / Elrigh Louw Let’s hope the likes of Green, Hooker, David Kriel, Papier, Wilco, Jenkins, Ruben v Heerden, Ruan Vermaak, Buthelezi, Hanekom and the Tsituka brothers are considered but I doubt it - unfortunately

Rest all the older players and send the younger players to Argentina.

No pressure on the Boks because if a young Bok side is beaten, the most experienced players will have rested and prepared for the next week's test.

Argentina have to get on a plane fly to South Africa and then play a rested team with the most caps in history.

I think that is Rassie’s plan except for the older ones that have not played much like Am, Esterhuizen and Kitshoff

Dave

You probably are correct - but I hink Erasmus will use the opportunity to get rid of Esterhuizen as a squad member,    He spoilt his chances badly in te Wales Test,

My choice of players I listed already and retained some players that would have a stabilizing effect on inexperienced  or ne w players.  .

Nonsense Mike your anti Esterhuizen makes no sense at all Esterhuizen is a class act but at 30 he is not the future but deserves a few more caps

Dave

Esterhuizen is not  candidate to play in 2027 and if he is it will be a case of dumb muscle only.   I think that we need to look for younger players that deserve investment in and not waste time with players like Esterhuizen.
