Rassies Dumb Player Roadmap

I have always rated Rassie, what he did for the Cheetahs and Stormers have been great. Most of the current boks or those in the squad come form the days when Rassie took over the stormers and transformed the youth team into u/21 champions. In that team they had players like PSDT, Elstadt, Kolisi, Kitshof, Malherbe to name a few. They are all boks now. 

But what I don't get is what he is doing at national level. He keeps going on that each player has a roadmap. 

I don't see how throwing a bunch of uncapped players to the wolves and not allowing time to settle. 

But we will have to see which of these players will get a crack this year and what this roadmap looks like. 

Erasmus has a set pattern to make these limited players as relevant as they can be. He wont' allow them to think because they can't and he never has let any of his teams ever think for themselves. Even within his system with the little bit of processing they are able to do on their own they still have major brain farts and manage to look stupid. Let them play what they cannot see and all hell will break loose. No successful Block team has ever played "expansive" rugby. This si facts and you better fucking get used to it!

Hmm, did you ever watch the bok team under Nick Mallet? 17 wins in a row, destroyed the All Blacks, fantastic team and skills. 

Jake Whites team was also very expansive at the start and won the tri-nations in the first year. 

The boks can pay attractive Rugby, but you are right that Rassie drums out all of the creativity. Especially having a Shit Stick as your attack coach

I just had a look at the tri nations stats and in 97 most of the tries came from forwards, in 98 only 1 back scored a try. Not a lot of tries. In 99 you fuckers got nilled in the first game, only two penalties in game 2, and then three back tries in last two games. Not great shit, was it?? Looking at Mallet's Blockers, they mostly scored lots of tries in games against shitty Scotland, Wales, Uruguay, Spain, Canada, Italy. Jake's Blockers were forward oriented and not expansive at all! Played the same traditional fucking game you prolapsed anus! They all fucking do except the odd bastard like Coetzee who went fucking rambo and conceded tonnes of turnover tries. The only chance the Splingblocks ever had of playing attractive rugby was putting a tutu on Percy and slapping some rouge in his cheeks. Good thing that never happened as we all know the big bore is a closet homo.

Actually the Boks weren't in the top 10 for anything. I think one made a turnover top 10, but that was about it. Your boys didn't register at all. I bet 80% of your WC stats came against Canada. The fact is that Red nose  is totally idiotic about Rugby History.   Mallett inherited a functioning squad from Du Plessis and he went off the rails when he had to replace some players causing a disaster and then resigned.  He admitted  himself that he was wrong about firing Teichmann as captain.    Mallett was successful as long as he had the squad inherited  from  Du Plessis thereafter he became a disaster as bad as Meyer was.   

The site has some Erasmus haters and those are concentrating on some players selected by Erasmus,    Those include especially De Allende, Du Toit, De Jager and some other players.  When Erasmus became Director of Rugby in 2018 he faced a massive problem - the existing Springboks were totally demoralized and there were critical new players to be found.   He gave a number of potential players  chances to prove themselves on test level and most failed badly  

In fact ultimately he  did find the right combinations  and 2019 became against all world experts a great year for Springbok rugby.    2020 the Springboks played in no tests due to travel restrictions and the Covid virus -  so Erasmus was blamed for that as well despite the fact that he was not the decisionmaker in that case and bar one test against Georgia the Springboks had no home tests in 2021 and it was impossible to  experiment  to find replacement players needed as a result of  retirements and deterioration of performances before the Wales tests.

The second test was a replacement  experimental tests and most of the previous failures in 2018 and 2019   (inclusive of Esterhuizen) proved again that they cannot take the step up from franchise and club level to test level.    The third test was basically a sign of what to expect  in future - even though there were still passengers like Mostert in the  squad.   Players that showed that they can perform on higher level were Willemse and Hendricks - but there are others that needs to be looked at  - eg Nel at no 8 and the Under 20 flyhalf as well.

Fact is that Erasmus and Nienaber are better rugby thinkers  than the idiots on site give them  credit for and he together with the coaching staff knows what they are doing and what objectives they have set to achieve success in 2023.

Mallet is the only great Block coach if the pro era. Easily. I don't even know the name of the fucker you are talking about but he couldn't have lasted more than a year or two because he didn't coach in the world Cup and you guys didn't do well in the 1996 tri nations or the Lions series, so he couldn't have been that good. Mallet made that team great. And yeah Erasmus is not a stupid man so there you go, the rugby they play is because he knows he cannot trust these players to do more than that. You cannot have it both ways Mike. 

Okay, lets get back to what Rassie calls player roadmap and how on earth was the 2nd test any good?!!!

Dweba - Got his 2nd cap but didn't learn much

Orie - Wasted cap -What is he still doing the Team!!!

Coetzee - Got one outing, did okay but couldn't play his normal game

Roos - Only got one full game, did okay in a dysfunctional game plan. Did get a crack again to play off the bench

Hendrikse - He has now pipped Faf, good passing, few brain implosions but more consistent. However, not the form 9 in the URC. On the same level as Williams

Fassi - Having a dip in form, played on the wing but no real impact or ready for a step up. 

Arendse - Wasted cap - poor mans kolbe, dangerous runner and that is about it. Where is Tambwe? 

Gelant - Had a poor test but we know what he can do

Mchunu - Wasted cap - What did he even do on the pitch and why do we he need him now? He is only 23 and can get a few more first class games under his belt. Behind Ox who is doing a great job

Nortje - Solid back up to 5, better than Mostert and Orie but not much bulk or grunt in our pack when he plays

Elstadt - Wasted cap - If he is covering 4, why do we need him? 

Where is JASON JENKINS!!

Williams Wasted cap - Why do we need him? There are two way better 9s in the URC that should go ahead of him

Elrich Louw - Great to see he got two caps, but would have started him in the 2nd test ahead of PSDT and allow Steph to gain match fitness off the bench

Moerat Wasted cap - Not convinced that he should get a cap as he hasn't proven anything this season we we have better locks that have many first class games under their belts. 

We heard Niena talk about using the A games and not using these games to blood player but then they go and throw the guys to the wolves. 

With so many wasted opportunities, I simply don't see how they are preparing depth in the squad.

We are heading back to PDV days when he just capped about almost everybody but that never developed into anything 

Blocks played better in the second test than the third. It's only because the Blocks won that you are all crying about the second test. I learned more than you guys about all the tests. It's not rocket science but it may as well be for you bozos. 

Any SA coach worth his sult must also look for talent to renew the team where necessary.   Unlike Meyer - who looked for new players who have  already retired Erasmius, Nienaber and the coaching staff acting as a selection committee use some test to select ex sand the coaching staaf select some players  on a experimental basis  to see whether they can make te step up feom franchise and club rugby.  They did the same in 2018 and from there they determine whether players are usable or not.   Based opn their findings players like Esterhuizen - who is as thick as a brick - do not make the step up to test rugby

And I read on Supersport that Oom Frans and Duane will be joining the Bok Squad Soon, to add to the old core....newbies will most probably be dropped for them or become bench warmers...a core I might add, that fits with there 1 Style....R&N wants to ride Zorro on the 2019 WC players, in there mind Right to 23 WC glory....Dream on if you don't adapt the game plan and Team selection.

It worked for two games. Lets get fucking serious here. In fact, it worked just about for one. Basically we lost the scrums and we were so close to striking early. I think a bit more composure and we score the first try and don't fucking kid yourselves if you think that wouldn't have been a whole other game! It doesn't take much to get a yarpie's head to swell. If the team for the second test played 2 games together prior to that match, they would probably ha ve put more than 40 past Whales...Rassie should have twigged plenty from that show...
