here has been a long list of problems in refereeing that was started By the NZ Head or Refereeing for Sanzar when hes ent en e-mail to NZ Aussie referees topunish SA teams so as to prevented them them from winning matches. Unfortunately the guy involved was th father of Bryce Lawrence. He unfortunately made a mistake andxx'd the e-mail to SA Rugby. That was to my mind a totally illegal situation and Sanzar had to face storm about the issue. In the end a peace agreement of sorts were reached,
I have not seen a single comment denying that it happened and they did not offer any suggestions that L:awrence was correct in what he did. Thre was some suppor for hiss on after the 2011 disaster by Bryce Lawrence leaving his removal from the test panel and promotion afterwards by NZ rugby - Sasue wri\ote at the time that there were serious reservations about the latter expressed wiely in NZ.
Since then the issue of reffing was normally under control and only sputtering from time to time. It is unfortunate that the matter reared its ugly head again and the discussions on this site ha been nasty and in some respects vicious, Is it necessary to make the accusations about New Zealanders and South Africans in general? There are good and bad people in every country in the world and certainly also in SA and New Zealand. Why generalize and attack nations unreasonably for remarks and actions by a few bad apples and that everybody in our respective nations are bad - largely based on fictional notions by a few.
Please can we not have reasonable discussions without generalizing and making out that all people from NZ and SA are bad. Please can we not forget about what happened over the last three weeks insofar as refereeing is concerned. I am sure that there will be a reasonable solution of the situation by Sanzaar - who dealt with or is dealing with with the matters raised.
My final plea - can we not have pea ce on the site and differ from each other on a civil basis? . .
