Really low standard test at Twickenham.

The NH has dropped way off the pace again.  Sure there were the usual howls from the highly partisan Twickenham crowd. But in truth the Scottish tackling was woeful and the English handling was woeful. The first Scottish try, again promoted by some awful Pom tackling, was enjoyable. For the rest, the least bad team won, in clumsy fashion. Nothing here to give any of the SH powers sleepless nights, unless they take their foot off the pedal and party too much, as NZ probably did in November.

I did not watch any of the two Six Nations tests played yesteday - was watching the  warm up games in SA - with switching over to cricket from time to time.   Will try and catch up with it later today or later this week.

I had an opportuntiy to watch the game and came to the same conclusion as you did - it was pathetic - it left the commentators with a problem - at one stage the ball was kicked up and down the field for five minutes - each kick being less effective than the previous one.   If this indeed is good rugby - then I can only say that the game has gone down instead of advanced in recent years.
