I had a second look on U-Tube of this game and spent some time to determine who did what in the game.  I did not relize it and I think a lot of people missed it becay=use it was such a high-scoring game that the balls very rarely went past the flyhalf in this game.

70% of the activities were amongst the forwards and Reinach - who were miles better than the Brumbies forwards.   For the remainder less than 10% of the balls went beyond Lambie and there was very little involment of players outside of Lambie -   Matter of fact Bosman only handled the ball only ten tomes during the whole game - he passed the ball six times (mostly back to forwards)  and carry it only four times - making i clean linebreak only and causing a turnover of possession from the brumbies in one occassion - when he held up a tackled player and assisted by Jordaan and two other players caused a scrum afterwards.   Jordaan only got three  balls in the whole game - he was carrying the balls forward in the tackles and in two cases the Brumbies was penalized in trying to get the ball in a turnover of possession.    He did help Boman in casuing a turnover once and also helped oter players in a similar situation later in the game.

It is consequently wrong to say that the backline functioned well - they never was called upon to do anything of substance.   However, amongst the six balls passed - the attack wet ahead after passes by him and  two tries were scored as a result of the space he created before passing the bsll.   Based on this gane i would be difficult to really assess Backline performances based on this game.
