You have been smoking the aunt nora pipe for sure Redsman. Best 15? The quest was is he even a 15? The answer was given throughout the Rugby Championship, no. Too slow for fullback you see, you need look no farther afield than Habana and Savea ripping him up time and again for his lack of pace at both wing and fullback. He is extraordinarily poor under the high ball and his decision making not quite there with any of the best 15s in the game. His decision making may improve in a position I see little future for him, but why waste his real ability for the venture of the imagined? Toomua poses questions over his inclusion as 12 was the one position I thought he could thrive in. As it is, Toomua is giving Australia something more akin to Tim Horan; something they have lacked for more years than I can recount. 13 perhaps? But then Adam-Ashley Cooper has served Australian rugby so well since the departure of Mortlock. Folau has great ability to create more than finish, I think he is a very good player with great prospects in the centres; the back three was an experiment that was spectacularly blown apart against the very best sides in the world. But, if you want that blow-out from Argentina and the weakest Irish side - irrespective of the All Black test - since the early to mid tow-thousands, then that is your business after all.
