So, since 2012 Australia have lost 9/10 tests against south africa and new zealand. they have only been competitive in two of those tests. They've scored 10 tries against these foes but conceded 30 to date! they seem to have a real proble with defence under ewen, they concedec just 9 tries under deans but then 15 last year under ewen and now after two tests they're already at 6 conceded after new zealand mauled them. is it not time to admit that ewen is a clown and worse than dean? maybe that they dropped the ball in dissing jake? man its not looking good. the attack is not firing like it was promised too, ewen has zero wins in 6 attempts against south africa and new zealand and already a record loss against new zealand. where will it end? im so glad im not an aussie mate because this looks like the straeuli years too me with all the false optimism. good luck bud.

 australia are in a worse dark era than our 2001-2003. we were never whitewashed, scored more tried and had many more compeyitive games. so i dont get why ewen is rated higher than deans, he was supposed to know jow to beat nz in nz and supposedly jake wasnt goid enough even thiufh he won a foreign wc and cimpeted well in nz ovet many tests and now wad goid abroad with the sharks. they biught into the hype of peter de villiers brainless attacking rugby and it surprise surprise aint working.

Interesting comment you make re dissing Jake.

 

We now know that certain board members of the ARU encouraged Jake to apply for the position we also know that a senior director threatened to resign if Jake was handed the position. In the wake of the departure of foreign coach Deans it was felt that taking on another foreign coach would antagonise the Australian public and with the threat of losing a senior board member the ARU did a U Turn on Jake.

 

McKenzie also made reference to Jake's boring game and promised he'd turn things around by playing an expansive game which he believed would bring thr Ozzie public back to union.

 

Someone should have reminded him that no attacking team has won the WC. That said, what's remarkably expansive is McKenzie's girth, personally I don't mind if he continues to dream on about playing an expansive game....neither it seems do the AB's.

 mate look how jakes supposedly boring rugby brought people back to canberra! these suits dont know what the hell is going on. if they are worried about a boring game not being liked well the way the brumbies brought massive optimism back into aussie rugby disprivbed that garbage. winning rugby makes people happy. the guy who says you play boring rugby is always the guy who cant win and is trying to win style points for their pat on the back style rugby. they can keep that kak i dont ever want the boks to play the way australia play even they do beat us in aussie town.

 The ABs in 87 were a fairly "attacking" sorta team Denny ,but prolly the exception to the rule. Dwyers  Aussiesgot into the poms heads in 91 RE: "running rugby " so they abandoned what worked and tried something they had neither temperament ,training or ability in.

 attacking rugby, i mean exclusively attacking rugby gives the opposition alot of options. thats why in war you ca have a whole seige thing, making the first move gives you initiative but also opens you up. modern rugby is al about making sure you domiate territory first and earn the right positions on the field to launch attacks. i posted irb stats a whiles back that showed this as a fact. defences are so good that after a few phases the attack is strung out and loses momentum so you have to be careful and defences will taget those phases to pinch ball and a lota turnovers result in tries in this comp. we have loads already. and 80s rugby is no comparison to post 99 rugby, back then they didnt have any plan or structire on deefnce it was just thats your guy take him down. when i watch those old games i laugh at how slow ost players were and how much space thre is to run into. it was horrible era for deefending. but bok rugby fans want the boks to play 80s attacking rugby hahahahahahahhaha!!! and Wardad the new zealand side that won the 87 wc spent most of the final camped in their 22

 Ah then Mr Gonzo ,the 87 ABS scored 3 tries and 4 penalties from their 22 ? what was it 29-9 ? [ still 5 pointers werent they ?] Must hae done a fair bit of running at some point !I reckon we are thinking more of counter attacking rugby maybe?As a general rule Denny is prolly right RE: defence ,in 87 I watched France stonewall the Aussies at Concorde [ I had warned my Aussie Army mates to not take France lightly , as they did ]

 they did what i said turnovers. i have the game on disc they were literally camped on their lined most of the game.  french buggeref that one up big time. all more readon i feel sorry for then after joubert stuffed up the 2011 final they fonslly got itright but meh robbed.

 How were they robbed ? Did Joubert make Trinh Duc miss 2 easy penalties ? As for 87 the ABs were worthy winners as are the present team .If any team was robbed it was Wales !

 wales shot themselves in the foit by nearly killing yachvilli. but the final of 2011... nah tjey were robbed. many off the ball incidents not picked up lucky escape really. two throat tackles on frenchmen seconds before nz won a penalty to win the game... poorfor wardad. its pretty sad fora person to be so one eyed they cant hive thr french some credit. i credit nz for 86 theywon a fair game but 2011 was a stitch up. not muvh more to itthen that. i lost all respect for mccaw when he bragged hoe thry would have won by 30 plus points "in a fair game" the man doesnt deserve to wear the silverfern! a complete doos like watson.

 As far as one eyed is concerned just ask  Maccaw about rougerie this rubbish about France deserving to win some how is just that ,rubbish .I notice you with your one eye missed all the French off the ball stuff or did they suddenly sprout halos ?NZ -unbeaten in pool play [ever] France -beaten TWICE NZ -most points -tries - best for and against....France still could hvae won but missed penalties .Final score NZ-8 France -7 [you know how the final score works dont you ? whoever has the most points  wins ?like in 2007 when France won ?didnt hear too many non kiwis moaning about that !]Thought better of you but this "France was robbed " rubbish is where all the usual "if my team cant beat them then I will barrack for who ever else plays the abs" people go to.Credit to France ?
