...yesterday it was reported that in between officiousness a game of rugby broke out...

...this was the match that was supposed to showcase the sport to the world ...but was ruined by play continually being interrupted by long frequent disruptions..

.....somehow since then the boks have managed to upstage the yarpy officials that stole the opening RWC show with their dithering..... but change may be in the wind

..in the interests of speed , consistency, accuracy , efficiency, transparency and improving the product for fans,  a referee bunker will be coming soon if other codes are anything to go by... and will help to prevent the code from looking like it's run by a bunch of amateurs... like it did yesterday,,

..What you see at home is essentially what the video referee sees at the moment but a referee bunker will act as a central command centre able to call up footage from multiple angles (talking nine angles here)...

..instead of the referee asking the TMO and then the TMO asking the broadcaster - the TMO controls the cameras with his joystick to rewind or fast forward footage and could control the speed, while being able to touch the screen to zoom in for a close up of any incident

...ultimately there is no such thing as immaculate perception but at least the referees will be given the tools and the most up-to-date technology in order to make sure they can make the best decisions possible...and deliver them a lot quicker for the impatient fans amongst us ...
