I was watching he reds-Rebels game and there was an excllent backline move. Unfortunately in the end - the no 14 lost the ball in the tackle and was not in control thereof. Clearly shown by the replay that the player was not in control of the ball. Yet - try awarded. I hate this kind of thing when referees try and determine the outcome of matches. What is wrong with the referees from Australia and New Zealand?????
Referreing Debacle
Mike I am sad to say its a genetic thing so you cant change them. Read muy post re TMO tril in Sa. That perhaps provides soem hope.
Hate to bring up such a sordid event but I hear ou SBW told the ref to F# off! Horrendous behaviour from this mong!! Please kiwis no excusing this.
As things stand I also hear a baby nz player is being investigated for rape. Where will it end - one bad report after another. I do trust however if the guy is innocent the accuser gets rapped hard.
Weather my team wins or loses, I just want the best team to win...and not cos of the ref.
Quite so bluebok - these days thre refs are far too prominent. In an effort t ospped up the game the rules have become maore complicated and open to judgement.
I wonder if one looked at the number of penalties awarded at say test level in 1960 and compared this with average penalties given today today what would be revealed. I think there are more penalties today which of course slows up the game in any case.
It will remains as is for always, because refs and fans will always be subjective. It would be nice if some of the subjectivity can be written out of the rules though.
