Sometimes I wonder if ABasque shouldn't be entering the lottery every weekend. It's like the guy has a crystal ball or something.

I mention this because while Fantasy Rugby regulars like Klown, Oima tey, Brycy, Ou Maaik and Justwin know exactly what I'm talking about, many of you haven't witness his extraordinary powers of prediction and team selection . . . until now.

ABasque has just taken over the lead in the Total Rankers competition and he did it by selecting the Sunwolves to beat the Chiefs which many regarded as a major shock and he also avoided the pitfalls of selecting the Lions or the Sharks which most of us went for. Brave calls from ABasque which were rewarded.

Before I get accused of hypocrisy again, I should mention that Dumb Ass also tipped the Sunwolves so credit to him too for a gutsy call . . . but in his case it's still a once-off while ABasque has been making these startling out-the-box calls for years now, not just with his predictions but with his Fantasy Rugby performances.

I'm quite sure the other Fantasy Rugby regulars are like me where they've have had a few weekends where they've made good picks, their Fantasy Team players all score well and their Fantasy captain scores a try or two and we think, I must have beaten ABasque this weekend but no, we go check only to find out he's increased his lead at the top of the table.

Maybe my timing for this post is a bit off because I actually did beat ABasque in the Fantasy comps this week (doesn't happen often) but really, that Sunwolves call deserves a mention . . . for DumbAss too. Well done guys.

appreciate, man,....

I thought most of the people would have choosen the chiefs,... a good occasion to take advantage over many players,.... and had luck,.... quite luck,... it's a very risky thing to do,... if you lose everybody take advantage over you,.... I won't risk this way again for a while,... now I've to be conservative

it seems this game will be decided by very few points' margin,.... and at the end of the season,.... possibly the last day,... is going to be interesting,... and there were some prizes, weren't there?

Indeed, test tickets.
Quite a few 50/50 calls this weeks as well. I've made my picks but I'm not very confident.

test tickets? that would be nice,...

already made your picks? I've already decided who to pick but I like to wait till the last moment knowing the lineups,... just in case,...

this week there's only one easy pick,... but gives just 1 point, as it should ... the rest are 50/50 calls,... let see

2% of SuperBru picked the Wolves, so it was quite the upset to spot. Well done Basque and DA.

Thank you Piss Mint

I don't have the time to check who is injured or not playing in certain teams for whatever reason every week, but ag..... so what, it's a bit of fun anyway and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Fully agree ABasquefan

I have lost 2 games already, the one was by one point, and the other game was in the 87th minute

Frustrating indeed, but it certainly adds a bit more fun to the games

Very we ll done to you, you certainly know your players and teams

I do not think it is all that difficult this week;   My own assessment is as follows:-

This should be a more easy round to  predict the outcomes:=

*    Easy win by the Hurricanes against Highlanders

*    Easy win by the Rebels against the Brumbies

*    A walk in the Park for the  Crusaders beating the chiefs

*    Blues should beat the Sunwolves, but would they after a trip around the world

*    I think the Reds will beat the Waratahs

*    Jaguars to beat the Lions - but will they?  the Lions are desperate

*    Bulls vs Sharks - nobody knows - it depends on the Sharks team selection - they need to get their centers right.

My first three picks pick themselves - I would not bet on any others as upsets may be high.

Yes ... he's something else ... never seen the likes before ... uncanny knack for this kind of thing.

At first I thought he had inside information ... but he seems to have "inside information" for all the games in town.
Don't know how he does it.

'I did actually beat ABasque this weekend'.....I was wondering why Peeper was making this fuss, that explained things.
