I am going to break the ice and put here my Superbru result forecast for this week:-

*    Blues to win by 6 points

*    Brumbies by  18 points

*    Sharks by 9 points

*    Hurricanes by 12 points

*     Rebels by 6 points

*    Cheeths by 9 points.

Blues - Higlanders Game

Both teams did no really have a top season thus far - but the Highlanders is a patheetic team of rugby geriatrics.    My bet is the Blues is a better team than the Highlanders - but the result will be a close affair.

Brumbies -  Kings Game

Easy to predit a brumbies win - but the Kings put on a good show this weekend

Sharks - Crusaders Game

I have no problem with this one - my resoning be that the Stormers managed to beat themselvves with a particularly poor performance.   The Sharks will come back with a much improved showing this wekend.

Force - Rebels  Game

Both teams are pathetic and this one is hard to determine.   I think that the Rebels is a slightly stronger team - hence my vote for them.

Cheetahs - Stormers Game

If Jantjies plays and De Jongh stays on to the end of the game - the result is a foregone conslusion - the Cheetahs will win.   Otherwise the contest will be close.  Homeground advantage in this case.

i like the score predictions mike. hope the sharks pip the saders this weekend. i can only pray the kings can somehow knock off the brumbies but i reckon the kings would need divine intervention to take that game.

the SA teams needs the brumbies chiefs and blues to drop a few games as we are playing catchup right now in terms of the log points. the teams are not scoring any BP's

blues by 5
brumbies by 28
crusaders by 4 - i cant shake the feeling that the crusaders are going to smash them, logic says that wont happen though.
hurricanes by 8
rebels by 3
stormers by 14 - as good as the cheetahs run has been, i dont really see anything which says the cheetahs are going to beat the stormers

Highlanders to get up

Cant help but feel we have seen the best of the Blues this season. First couple games were played on passion. Passion wears off and we left with very limited skill there bar Rene Ranger and Piutau. I expect Blues to fill a hole in the mid table!

Brumbies by as many as they want

Kings have had a bruising game last week and really put up a monumental effort to limit the Canes running riot. Brumbies are a more "clever" attacking side this year so I expect the Kings to be slightly exposed here. Maybe their biggest hiding to date. NZL teams are physical and fast. Big defensive efforts can ensure the score looks respectable. Brumbies are "schemers" and sly so they will work the defence out. Kings need to outmuscle them or its tickets.

Sharks but only just

Its not easy to go to the republic and win 2 from 2 against the two best SA franchises currently. Last week would have softened the Saders up a bit and lets be honest, it was a game that could have gone either way. Saders were not convincing and Stormers made some crucial errors. I expect Sharks to learn from this and bring the pain. Can Tyler Bleyendaal control things again this week? Surely not!

Hurricanes to get up

Waratahs seem to have worked themselves out a bit but I still feel the Canes at home should want it more!

Force reasonably comfortably

Rebels are arguably the worst team at the moment. Doesnt help that they have travelled all the way back from SA with two fairly comprehensive losses. One massive loss at that and inter-camp dust ups. Too many internal issues to work on there and the Force have some confidence still from the Reds game.

Cheetahs in a thriller

This was a tough one and I wouldnt put money on it either way. SA teams need to stand up and take note of the Cheetahs because in a blink of an eye, these blokes could run away with the "conference trophy" (Beeno has seen it ;-) Stormers will need to be smart about this one and the Sharks were lucky to catch the Cheetahs before they had all this self belief ;-) You can see confidence oozing out of the Cheetahs camp and I think they will be hard to stop in Bloem! Too many game breakers in Rhule, Le Roux, Ebersohn and good to see Danniler starting to live up to expectations. Adriaan Strauss has really lead from the front and I think Bizzy is cocking his eyebrow in slight concern. Loose forwards are playing well too. Definately one of the most exciting clashes of the round. Will be a great spectacle!

Looking at past results, question is: Do the Cheetahs believe they can beat the Stormers. Stormers have had some tight games with them in recent times but usually always on the right side of the score board. Can the Cheetahs get this Stormers monkey off their backs. I mean, they are 2 from 9 against them. Will history repeat itself or is this a new look Cheetahs team with renewed passion ready to turn the history book on its head?

Sasue

I am very quiet about the Crusaders game last week - beause there is one issue that puzzles me completely - that is did the Crusaders really won by merit - or did the Stomers lose because they fouled up badly.   I think there is a bit of both in the fact that the Crusaders won the game.   The real Stormers  line out nightmare - coupled to the stupid selections by Coetzee in going with Jantjies and De Jongh - really made a substantial impact on the final outcome of the game.

The above two issues are making the outcomes of the Crusaders - Sharks game and the Stormers - Cheetahs games very difficult to predict.

Personally I feel that despite the huge loss to the Brumbies - the Sharks has better allround team than the Stormers and that with moving Steyn to full back the Sharks backline performances will improve.   That swings me to the decsion to predict a Sharks win in this case.

The Cheetahs this year definitely is a difficult baby to handle - just ask the Highlanders and the Waratahs about that one.   I also think that it is difficut to travel to Bloemfontein and win there.   Although it is the city of the "flowers fountain"  (the literal translation of the place name to English)  - they do not give flowers to visiting teams - they give them real problems.   On the other hand the Stormers may put in a performance of desperados - which could swing the game to them.   Another Stormers loss may however have a beneficial effect and Coetzee may see the light and make changes to move away from stupid selections that he made this far this year.    Personally there is much to like about the Cheetahs game and I have a sneaking suspicion that they will win this weekend.
