The pesky Mostert has spoiled the party. By now ....5 years later....Stephanie was supposed to be the best lock in the known universe. Or at least that was the feeling before Itoje came along who does everything better. Still Stephanie is supposed to be our version of Itoje until Mostert became a better doppelganger. Comfortably outplaying Steph head to head he seemed to be the MOM every second week in Super Rugby.
..
And then stone the crows, they select him ahead of Stephanie against the Frogs....and he delivers. The howls become mutterings. But the Stephosi are waiting to strike. Mostert has by his lofty standards an average game and on comes Stephanie enhanced by 4 weeks off the park, with all that energy to pour into 10 minutes against the tiring Bargies. He throws himself about a bit and thankfully doesn't have to tackle a fast moving target and suddenly he is worthy of a 7.5, maybe an 8.
...
Mostert is in the cross hairs.

As per normal with you ignorance is bliss. If you watched the game yesterday even your dimness may have been less obvious - but that doesn't help try and have a look at the ESPN stats

Dr Mozzz face facts your take on locks has long been very suspect. You should follow the direction of your own comment that Beeno knows agood lock when he sees one. Wise words indeed and worthy of acceptance by all! Moz were after all a supporter of the biggest con artist in SA rugby history we matfiled 105 kg string bean loafer and failed wannabee bok backline player - as per Bakkies Botha Victor doesn't always play in the backline.Anybody understanding the requirements of a lock would realise Steph is a better bet than Mostert at 103 kg. A little rugby acumen would make one understand one cannot play three loosies around the 100 kg mark and a lock at 103 kg and still expect to get forward domination over NZAt a minimum Steph at lock and a Du Preez at 7 or 8 is required.Take it from Beeno the one who understands rugby!

Actually Etzebeth delivers all the lock mobility we need.....I would combine Eben with Willemse who is pure blocky power. Mostert can be brought on at minute 60 and damn the Stephosi.

Do you ever stop talking tripe?
Etzebeth and Willemse are the same type of lock - so you want a duplicate pair? So npow we must assume your constant harping about Botha and Matfield augmenting each other was pure BS.
Why do you never display s sense that you know so mething about the game?

Whitley, Kriel, Mostert and Jantjies...all so inadequate, an yet.
So have we now reached the point where we begin to dismantle the little bit of momentum we've gathered this year? It would appear so. Some things never change here in good old SA.

I know you are a total r4ugby ignorant and that your knowledge of the game is virtually zero. Dim as hell - the total rugby idiot.
I have a real laugh about you again - and because you do not know the role of scoring of tries I tested the situation as to your weakling Matfield I looked at his try-scoring stats:-
Matfield = 147 tests - 7 triesEtzebeth = 58 tests - 3 triesDu Toit = 25 tests - 5 tries
Du Toit is not as stupid as Matfield to play way past his sell-by date - but at this rate he would past Matfield's try scoring record by the time he played 35 tests at the latest.
What a total idiot you are when it comes to rugby.

MOM in WC Finals and Consolation Finals....Matfield 2.
...
MOM in any WC game, pool or otherwise....Stephanie 0
..
Ranking in World's 10 greatest locks of all time by Ruck.com Matfield 3.....Stephanie not even considered
..
3. Victor Matfield
South Africa’s Victor Matfield defined the attributes required to be a modern-day second row: tall, powerful, mobile and with great hands. During his 122 Test caps with the Springboks, he formed a formidable second-row partnership with Bakkies Botha that played a crucial role in South Africa claiming the 2007 World Cup in France. Besides almost always winning his own line-out ball, Matfield is known for his exceptional skill at disrupting opposition line-outs, which was a key asset to the Springboks during their triumph in 2007.
Did you know: In 2008 he became the first international captain to beat the All Blacks in New Zealand since Martin Johnson in 2003.
...
Game....er ...over.

Oh so how many tries did Stephanie produce in the 952 minutes he played in Super Rugby this year....that's right zero...and how significant is that, not significant at all. Try scoring is one of the least useful variables to judge locks.
..
But why am I talking to you as if you have the capacity to understand these things.....silly me.

We are discussing test rugby - stooge. Silly not to keep to what was written. But thden one cannot discuss tryscoring with a dimwit who cannot grasp the importance of that in rugby,
Every player should contribute to all facets of rugby - but that is also lost on you. Funny how you always deride regular try scorers and support duds on this site.
However, since you now raised Super Ruigby - leyts look at those as well:
Matfield - 157 games - 8 tries scored Etzebeth - 42 games - 4 triesDu Toit - 41 games - 3 tries
Both Etyzwebeth and Du Toit will surpass the record of Matfield sooner rather than later.

Well ... perhaps you forgot that Quota Outa also selected Bongi at cover instead of a host of much better hookers. You want me to name them for you?
He also selected Serfontein, De Jongh, De Allende, Mapoe and Jesse Kriel ahead of Harold Vorster and Janse van Rensburg. In fact Vorster and Rohan couldn't even make his squad.
Does that now make Vorster and Rohan sub-standard players?
Beast is there ... a tired old man ... while Kitshoff his better sits on the bench ... and several other vastly superior props sit out altogether.
Pieter Steff Du Toit is the best lock in the country and just because Toetie can't see that doesn't change that fact.

Mozart and his total BS continuing. Why doesn't he ever comes up about anything npt related to players he dislikes for reasons well-known to us all? It is al;ways the same players for the same reasons - they were a threat to his rugby has-beens because of sub-standard performance by the has-beens.
The funny part is that he does not rate4 scoring of tries as required from any player - in fact he hates it when any of his disliked players score tries, The olatest classic is that locks are not required to score tries - tell that to Etzebeth and any reqal lock and they would laugh their asses off.
His contributions are very funny - not funny ha-ha, but funny peculiar - due to the fact that it advertise on a continuous basis that he knows bugger-all about rugby as a game.,
