with a serious knee injury. He is a special player. There's sure to be a suitable replacement but Rassie will have to start again, it's not something coaches enjoy.

That's a big blow.


He didn't get enough credit for his contributions last year.


I feel so sorry for these chaps when they have these long term injuries.

Very sad news...RG is a tremendous player and the Boks will miss him dearly. Let us hope Dr. Kak Lucky picks a local lock.

The shame is we never saw Eben and RG playing together at their peaks. Snyman was always the alpha lock when Eben left the field and I’m pretty sure the good doctor had him in mind as Eben’s replacement for the WC if Father Time dictated.

Agree, Moz. Never could understand why Rassie barely every played them together.


Snyman was such a beast in that second half against France last year. He was tackling like a savage, getting great lineout ball...

My problem is not with Snyman's perforamance when he does play - it is with his injury record making what I call injury-prone.
