Rge Storemers - Bulls game

The Stormers beating the Bulls easily taught us all a few lessons. One is that the Bulls forwars are messy - and could not keep up any pressure. They are just not strong enough to compete with the Sharks and the Stormers in that Departent of the game. The second thing is that any team wishing to win needs a good pivot at flyhalf. Morne Steyn was today absolute crap and that cost the Bulls heavily. You don't kick balls away if your forwards are not good enough to win the resulting line-outs. On the other hand it shows one thing clearly. The Stormers should have played Van Aswegen at flyhalf and not play around with the useless Jantjies. The latter cost them dearly. Aside from Jantjies - the Stormers should not have selected DeJongh at 13 - he is absolutely harmless. They should have stuck with De Allende at 12 and De Villiers at 13. That combination would have carried them through to the play-off stage of the competition.

 Ou maaikie the article I posted on the offical math thread says Morne had a good game. I have not seen the game yet but re De Jongh and Jantjes I suspect you will be proved right.

One can only imagine the pakslae the hapless bulle would have got from a full strength properly selected Stormers side.

 I'm no Jantjies fan, but he was on for 10 minutes during which he pulled off an outstanding tackle  and strip, to stall a Bools attack. De Jongh  was better than JJ who was losing his cool  at the end.
