Richie to the rescue!!!!

Can see it took you three posts to try and think of something intelligent to say and still failed miserably.

But King Richie may be there for the Crusaders when they reach the finals is i think what your nerves were preventing you from saying .

That was always on the cards but i can see the news has got you shaking in your boots - Kiwis can have that affect on you but try not to panic. There's a brave wee chap.

 I was at an AIG function PRIOR to the test last Saturday and Lord Richie outlined his plans to play at that time in an interview with Alan Whetton.

The high class madam has tired of richie the nz role model and his boorish provincial ways (She is after all high class) and given him the big boot. Ou mcaaaw, with not much else to do, cut short his sabbatical and returned to what he knows hoping, unreasonably so, to arrest the very evident decline in the wee abs which he essentially is part of.

Hope that explains things to my good kiwi mates who are so often confused by the obvious.

McCaw is long in the tooth and due to retire soon. The New Zealanders have relied on him for many a year and without him they go into a complete state of shock ... as you can see by the responses above..

Sam Cane is a good player but he's not a McCaw. Never will be.

Dan the man Carter is injury prone so now they have to call on the hapless Cruden to do his country proud ... problem is ... he's no Carter ... never will be. Just an avergae Joe trying his best.

So what we have is two major players no longer doing their thing for the All Blacks.

They have hooker issues, mediocre locks, a full back that seems to have lost his mojo and an inside center that fires more cold than hot these days.

one of my pet peeves around here is when folks will argue one thing, i show them evidence to the contrary and then they pretend they didnt read my response, only to bring it back up another time.
McCaw was in great form last year, chech out the dunedin test where he he pretty much matched the entire Bok loose trio on both attack and defnece, ive provieded the numbers here many a times and one beeno1 aka storminged even said i fabricated them, LMAO, :oP

but the way i see it is, if saffas think that McCaw is past it, then they shoudl have no problems with him playing if he plays for the All Blacks against the Boks, that way both the kiwis and the saffas are happy, :o)
i always watch certain players under a microscope and thats why i know for sure that McCaw had a great season last year as have all his years.
i welcome anyone to show me a season where he wasnt his usual awesome self and provide some key games to back thier theories, and BTW dont just bring up one game and use it to define a season, cos thats just lame.

wrong blackwolf, 96 crusaders took the woodenspoon and then the following year the highlanders were bottom of the table.
more importantly though highlanders are only two points away from avoiding the wooden spoon, something they can achieve easily, as the force have one game left while the higlanders have three including a rebels match they should win, but nothing better then hearing saffas beat their chest, very similar to all the chest beating by everything saffa here before the sowettoe test and then BOOMFA, ripped the Boks a new one, :oD

Well I must say he does look rather fresh from having a break, will it hold him up till the next world cup...Dunno!

As you lot already know I would have sent him on his way after the world cup, not only to give a couple of young fellas a chance to bake in the white hot oven that is test rugby but because the guy can still make a decent dollar else where/has done his bit and frankly deserves to make some big bucks for the many rainy days ahead.

The bottom line is that Richie McCaw is getting on in years and his day to retire in near at hand.

Keeping him wrapped up in cotton wool will not lengthen is rugby career ... old age catches us all ... Richie is next to go.

I can hear your desperation ... however pinning all your hopes on him bringing the trophy back a third time is ridiculous.

Actually ... it's darn right unfair of you kiwis to expect that from him.

 Mccaw is still very effective at the rucks, often illegally.

Although Richie is a great player, for me he has tarnished his reputation by playing the ball on the floor and lying on the wrong side to get in the way and slow rucks down. He especially does this when his forward pack is being dominated. Other open side flankers also illegally slow the ball down, but not to the cheating levels of Mccaw.

The last test in Soweto was beyond belief when he was lying on the floor, looks up at the referree who was for looking in the opposite direction, and then Richie proceeds to knock the ball out of the ruck from our side onto the All Blacks side. 

He then puts his head down as if he has just been lying on the floor the whole time. The referree then awared a knock on against the boks. 

Heneken Meyer allmost blew his lid because it was on the big screen for the whole crowd and TV audience to see. 

For the moment the referee did not look, Mccaw then made the biggest cheat at a ruck ever.

I think the All Blacks forward pack will struggle come 2015 in the Northern Hemishpere, and not sure if Richie will be able to slow the ball down at rucks.

I thought they did quite well without Richie. It took them like 5 minutes before getting pinned for cheating. Altough his off the ball blocking is missed to create holes for backline players to run into

McCaw is worshipped as a god in new zealand.

The country's economy turns around his state of fitness.

If he's injured there's a sudden and unexplained recession.

I'm expecting mass suicide the day he retires from the sport.

They'll probably never forgive him for getting old.
