RIP Robin Smith

Has passed away aged 62 - seems unexpectedly, cause of death unknown

Sad news.

I was lucky enough to have met him many years ago. A very nice man.

This one hit home a lot more than others.

He seemed like a really decent bloke and was a helluva batsman.

I used to see him with Allan Lamb. Both nice men and yes, he was a great cricketer.

I read that he suffered with alcoholism, was drinking a bottle of vodka a day

RIP .... in the days of zero international sport it was the Lambs, Smith & Keplers who gave us a wee bit of reflected glory . Bless em all, I was grateful.
