Romain Poite Refereeing scandal
IMO waaaaaaaaaay too many comments about poites poor reffing and not enough on the Boks poor tactics.
this is why its going to be a huge shock for the saffas when the lose in ellis park, cos theres next to zero objective views out there which recgonises that despite the poor reffing, the Boks were just as bad as the ref on the day.
The Boks tactics are to play more expansive as the game goes on and finish strongly.
When the All Blacks were down to 13 men they did not look to good, and it probably should have been 12 men because Pat Lambie was tackled in the air when scoring a try.
I dont understand why the referee never gave the tackler a yellow card because initially he was considering a penalty try.
Even if Lambie scories surely it should still be a penalisable offence because it is a yellow card offense.
Lambie fell awardly and was just able to turn well in the air.
Bismaark got a yellow card for a no arms tackle when the camera replay shows that arms were used, but Lambie can get tackled in the air but the tackler gets no yellow card.
When the pressure was on the AllBlacks in the last 10 minutes they were giving away penalties like Candy Floss at the local circus.
Mike didnt the ref get advised by the TMO? whats happening about that oak and who was he?
But the question has to be asked who was behind tne officating crew. Who was behind BL etc. That is the big question.
Yep Sharkbok. when the numbers evened up the abs looked lost. I think by then the physicality of the Boks had told and they were about out for the count?
Die koel was deur die Kerk , for NZ people that live in SA that means , you got lucky
BJ luck over a long period of time - since readmission - tends to even itself out. Luck had little to do with it methinks.
@sharkbok,
as a saffa i know its hard for u to tell the differnece between playing an expansive game and panicking when time is ticking down so now they abandon the plan they have been playing for the last 70 mins and instead go all out.
if u look at any game where teams are trailing by more then 3pts, they always do the exact same thing.
i guess part of the Boks game plan was to make sure that 95% of their tactical kicks amounted to nothing, that way they could the lose, but lose the way they wanted??? idk, seems like a pretty stupid tactic to me.
and with the usual blame the ref brigrade out in full effect here, one thing seems to escape plenty of coverage and thats keirean reads yellow card which was just as BS as bizzys, who exactly was he meant to have pushed in the linoeut 5 meters from the ABs line???
boks DNA is to kick the ball, playing an expansive game against the wallabies one week dosnet mean u know how to play an expansive game, consistency is the key.
but we only have to wait three weeks before ellis park comes our way and i feel every bit as confident that were going to get the job done again, and hopefully without a dodgy ref for the locals to hang their hats and facebook pages on.
Bwaahhahaha read the IRB verdict re Bissie and repent at leisure saSUE
IRB verdict: Carter maimed for 6weeks by Bismarck.
other verdicts:
Dagg maimed by Habannah, Savea kneed in the head by De Villiers, Messam elbowed in the wind pipe by Bismarck, Cane headbutted by Frank LOL!
How shameful all those saffas on farcebook ,ntanga you should go on their and take all those naughty bok fans to task for swearing ,oh and all the death threats and other rubbish . And I thought only giggly teenage girls and pedophiles still bothered with that crap.
Methinks ? only the most pretentious of gits use "Methinks " they think it makes them sound all classy and educated in a faux shakesperean kinda way hahahaha!
Shit ref, not the first and won't be the last. Sad thing is there are'nt too many good refs running around at the moment.
it may be the same mob that wanted to hang BL after the RWC
Firstly, congrats to the kiwis for winning the game, I understand a few of you are feeling a bit hollow about it, given I would have as well.
I have seen alot of South Africans dishing it out to the KIWIS because of this. Guys no, they didn't pull the Yellow on the first card. Yes it's wrong, the IRB have now admitted that. I do have some issues with the second card on Bismark I think it should only have been a penalty, the only card i think that should have stuck is Nonu's but that is just me others feel different.
This is really a story about how refs are influencing the game's outcome, this and how to fix it should be the debate.
My question is How does today's admission by the IRB benefit the side that lost out on it. As Jean De Villiers told Mr Walsh in the game v Argentina "we want to reap the benifits in the game".
Very big of the IRB to acknowledge the mistake, but who does it benefit?
This i don't get...
Anycase nice to see nothing has changed here in a while.
