One of the remarkable things about 10 years on these sites, is that old posters never die....nor in MacArthur's  immortal words, do they fade away. They come back.

So it is with Rooinek, posting here as Jalapeno Pepper. For a while the stylistic elements provided some cover. But denny spotted him about 3 weeks back. Since then it's been fun watching his wind up....getting ready to pounce. In various strings he has mocked Mike and Beeno, reproducing language screw ups. And of course my "dishonesty" he can't abide. The genetic foot prints are so obvious.

In any case welcome here.....but lose the pepper.

Yes and Jimi Hendrix was a poster you are trying to emulate. But no matter. We'll accept you as this comic character. After all you once told me Rooinek was just a character you created, and had nothing to do with you.  I only hope Pepper knows more about rugby than that joke RooiAAS.

No I think you are Rooinek, adopting a Hendrix style for disguise and Jalapeno Pepper, as a subtle red link.

This about the pepper...." occasionally it is allowed to fully ripen and turn crimson red".

Well we all know you are by now fully ripe, pushing 60 is it?

Not Hougaard....if he didn't make the tackle, Carter scores. Your case is better made that Kirchner never followed suit. But actually it was Taute's failure to close or drift with the pass that sealed our fate.

If that makes you happy Rooinek, go on pretending yet another of your disguises hasn't slipped. But it  seems a little silly.

Just tell me you aren't Rooinek or, more precisely, just tell me you aren't the person who created Rooinek and we'll move on. A simple yes or no will suffice.

I am sure also Dave will be delighted you have arrived rooitwit. He never twigged on  - Hahahahahahhahahaha not a bad cover up rooitwit but simply not ggod enough. Now how about that baboon picture one more time?

To me he was the funniest poster I ever encountered. The petulance he showed at times was hilarious. But ou rooitwit did have some insight  but needed a lot of guidance!  Lacked rugby acumen!

Patience Wigboy. Ill answer yr question as soon as u answer mine that I asked 1st.

On an earlier thread u said that jaco Taute (and I quote) "rushed inside way too early leaving Conrad Smith with a trot in try". Since then u said that Taute stood like a pylon during that incident which is v confusing. Plz clear up this confusion. How can Taute cut in too early and also stand like a pylon? Why was it such a big deal when u thought it was taute who cut in too early but when u found out it was F Hougard (after I skooled u) then suddenly it wasnt such a big mistake?

R u ignoring my questions cuz u think they unresonable?

Sorry old chap I gave you a complete analysis of that situation on another thread. I refer you to that answer, which I don't intend repeating thread after thread, just because you have early dimentia.

And speaking about your apparent loss of memory about your Rooinek days, perhaps this will help....Zinedine Zidane......there, did that explode through the layers of non functioning tissue?

I ask again, are you Rooinek. Yes or no?

Dont know y u cdnt just admit u screwed up and thank me 4 correcting u but seeing as u r incapable of admitting yr mistake I will keep asking the question cuz its funny to watch u trying so hard to dodge the question.

I did HasBeen on the thread devoted to that topic. I posted a tape of the match, identified the minute it occured on the tape.....and gave my full analysis of the incident. The fruitster is just throwing up a smoke screen in the hopes of dodging my question. It's not working. I did my part, he now needs to address his identity issue.

Wigboy, plz highlight the bit below that explains how taute could be a "pylon" and "cut inside way too early" at the same time. That is the question. U havent answered it.

Actually I didn't see your earlier comments. This is the least problematic of the three tries Taute gifted the ABs.....I notice you don't mention Dagg stepping Taute out of his sokkies.

But lets consider your contention. The ball cames out to Smith who runs up on Jantjies who is planted....Carter loops round and Nonu dummy runs onto Jean. In fact Nonu obstructs Jean and wraps his arms around him....there was a penalty right there....but no matter. Smith is allowed to make 5 metres by Jantjies not coming forward. Then Gear gets the ball in the space Taute occupies. He has support outside him.

Taute plants himself in Gear's path without moving....he neither advances to close down his space....nor does he drift to make the pass harder....he plants. The last chance to stop the try is lost there. Gear passes comfortably to Carter  Hougaard comes inside to tackle Carter who passes to Smith in space...... but there is another huge gap as Kirchner is soooooo slow to come in.

Who was at fault....firstly Jantjies for planting.....then Taute for not doing something decisive. How many times haven't we seen Fury or Jean rush forward in those situations....Taute's Maginot Line defence was timid and ineffective. Hougaard could have come in sooner, but Carter made only 2metres and would have passed to Smith in space in any case.

Summary....this was a clever off side wing insertion combined with a flyhalf wrap around. It was aided by Nonu's obstruction of Jean, who would surely have got across earlier than Louw who almost stopped the try. But given it wasn't called the ABs had a massive overlap...which required the outside backs to force the play inside. Jantjies and Taute did nothing.....they were pylons. Taute had the last chance to save the try by rushing up....he didn't.

Remember, my initial question was in response 2 yr statement that Taute "cut inside way too early" (Yr words) that led to C Smiths try. I dont see anything in yr answer above that relates 2 Taute cutting in too early. On the contrary, yr saying he was "planted".

If by all this smoke and mirrors yr conceding that u mixed up Taute & Hougard, just say so, thank me for correcting u and we can move on. Until then, dont try to pretend u have answered the question.

Who knows Db, my kind words seem to attract  these gadflies. But I can think of only two posters with this obsessive style. Rooinek, who for all his faults is an enjoyable read and Taipan who is neither funny nor enjoyable. I have to confess, the tedious way this string is evolving, I'm wondering if this isn't Bedpan. Now that would be disappointing.

Of course it could all be easily resolved with a bit of candor by the fruit.
