The deep dive? Or do you still believe an inanimate body can rest? Here's an explanation that might help you avoid embarrassment when whooping it up with your fellow atheists: - "The phrase in English was not found on tombstones before the eighth century.[5][6] It became common on the tombs of Catholics in the 18th century, for whom it was a prayerful request that their soul should find peace in the afterlife. When the phrase became conventional, the absence of a reference to the soul led people to suppose that it was the physical body that was enjoined to lie peacefully in the grave.[7] This is associated with the Catholic doctrine of the particular judgment; that is, that the soul is parted from the body upon death, but that the soul and body will be reunited on Judgment Day"

We’re supposedly an entity made up of 3.

A spirit with a living soul housed in a body made from dust.

The body returns to dust at death, while the spirit and soul are put into a state of rest.

Many believe in something known as the “rapture” … it is written in Thessalonians that a loud trumpet call summons the bodies of the dead that are in Christ, to gather together with their spirit and soul, that have accompanied the messiah from that place of rest.

It is here that they are reunited.

They are supposedly then taken away whilst the Father pours out His wrath on those left behind.

This is the time of the Antichrist and the great tribulation.

A war breaks out between man, his ally Satan and God.

It is only after Satan has been chained and imprisoned for a 1000 years ... and then released again for a time that judgement will fall on us all.

To be quite honest ... I find it difficult to understand how anyone could be an atheist.

Certainly the anti christ is going to rule the world for a period - 42 months of a 7 year period called the Great Tribualtion - a terrible time. Its a time of one world govt under anti christ and it is during this time that people will be given the mark without which no one will be able to buy or sell. Very hard time for any believers.

As for the judgement of God, well believers cannot be judged apart from a judgement of reward. God has judged Christ for our sins - they were laid upon him the sacrificial lamb. Behold the Lamb of God said John the Baptist.

Abel took a lamb and his sacrifice was accepted- Cains sacrifice of  fruit etc was not accepted. Abraham found a ram stuck in the thicket and sacrificed that instead of his son Isaac but God didnt spare His Perfect Son. The high priest sacrificed a perfect lamb each year (No bones broken) for the sins of the people. The blood of the lamb was sprinkled over the doorposts when the angel of death visited judgment over the Eygyptians and those houses withnit were spared. Then the Great Lamb came and laid down his life for his sheep. Will his blood avail for you is the question the biggest question you will ever answer.

None of us know....here is something on the net today: - "The evidence seems to be building that we are actually all Martians; that life started on Mars and came to Earth on a rock," Dr. Steven Benner of the Westheimer Institute for Science and Technology said in a statement issued before his presentation at the annual geochemistry colloquium. The institute is located in Gainesville, Fla. In Florence on Thursday, Benner is expected to report that the oxidized mineral form of the chemical element molybdenum may have been a key to the origin of life. Molybdenum is believed not to have been present on Earth at the time life originated. "This form of molybdenum couldn’t have been available on Earth at the time life first began, because three billion years ago the surface of the Earth had very little oxygen, but Mars did," Benner said in the statement. "It’s yet another piece of evidence which makes it more likely life came to Earth on a Martian meteorite, rather than starting on this planet." - These guys are probably out to lunch as well. And the fact is there was a lot of politics involved in what to include and what to exclude in the bible. Other potential "gospels' were left out. - The point is, when the subject is so complicated and emotional....we should tred lightly on our fellow travellers' beliefs. The subject of this thread believes in the jack boot approach .....followed by silly, fake, contradictory emotion. He is a mess.

Not sure what this discussion has to do with rugby, are the Boks planning to recruit from the afterlife?  A novel approach - it could work, lol

We have some pretty decent players in the Martian leagues JW. Now that we have some proof that we all come from Mars, Meyer has said he is perfectly comfortable recruiting from off world. The guys on Pluto are refusing to release their players, but the Martians are willing to cut a deal. No doubt we will have the usual naysayers, but we need these experienced Martian league players.

Hasbeeno, this 42 month period you talk about...does it have anything to do with a Bok revival?

Rooineck, it seems like everyday your name changes.

Aka, Rooiarse, Rooipoes, Rooicock, Saffex's Bitch.

Are you perhaps at Schizophreniak?

I suppose this is another post that you will ignore when called to justify your existence in life.

While you're on the subject, lets not forget that famous little stint he had when posting as "Jallepeno" .....and oh, the trouble he went to, to disguise himself by mishmashing his post so as to remain undetected. But of course that was never going to work when back in September I exposed him, and after repeated denials he finally came clean.

Hypocrite?...Liar.?...yes  to anyone else but not to our boy it's not, it's his exclusive right.  Unbelievable.
