I think that I was rather good for a rookie in this one - could have been better - if I stayed away from the super-expensive backline players like Cooper, Shipperley and and Speight and by some of my top picks like Alexander and even Pocock. Low cost players like Wykes was also not inspired selections.
Incidentally - I should have read and acted on what last years winner said about Pocock. The real issue was that I do not know enough about the Aussie players outside of the Wallaby squad - so their pricess were my main guide In other cases I was also duped into the belief that the Force was going to be easy meat in this years competition,
In round 2 I am bound to keep only the following players on my selections:-
* Slipper
* Wykes - he will be a damn site better against the Kings
* Kingi - a small chance he will be retained - since he really is a wing Cost consideratipns may be at play here though - and I may have to go with Reinach - whom I have on the bench for Round 1
* James Brier - with all of his goatee and plated hair (LOL)
* Ioane
I had 6 low cost SA players on the bench - so I would be able to replace 4 players not on the bench and two bench players for Round 2. Cost could become a problem - so I still have to decide on who has to go. Cooper and Pocock are certainties to go though and Alexander is also on my shit list..
Am I correct in assuming that you came second on our league? Bragging rights are claimed here. LOL

I was rightly so worried about my selections here - since it was the expensive players (other than Moore and James Brier that left me struggling.
Congrats - you are way ahead of me in this one. I am learning and hope to do better next Round. Will be much more aware of the low cost Sa players than I was about the Australian players though - so that may help.
Problem is - I will gave to replace most of the players I had on this squad and it is going to reduce future changes over the subsequnt three rouds drastically - that may be problematic.
