I was utterly dismayed about what the flyhalfs in all teams produced in Round 14 - it really was not up to standard at all - I base my statement on the following point allocations maade in respect of Foxsport stats:-:-

Carter    -     12 points

Barrett   -        8 points

Noakes  -        9 points

Steyn    -       13 points   *

Cooper  -       12 points  *

Slade   -           4 points  *

Lambie   -       10 points

Cruden   -       17 points

Toomua  -       13 points

Jantjies   -       22 points

*    To be updated to include the tackle stats.   Based on ESPN stats the points for these three players is likely to be as follows:-

    Steyn    -     20 points

    Cooper  -     14 points

    Slade    -      8  points

So Jantjies is the best flyhalf this weekend - that certainly must be the choice of the week then.   What a joke.

Clevermike - Games in NZ were lacklustre i'll admit this weekend given the wet weather that negates the running rugby we are famous for - which may explain the below par performances of the flyhalfs...

The Boks may have an edge albeit not a guaranteed winning edge there in the wet incidentally given their mauling skills but in the dry KIWIS RULE,,,

We're pretty happy with our fly halves though Clever mike as ABs Cruden and Carter were instrumental in their respective  victories but i can understand your consternation with the Samoans sounding their war drums in the distance.

Headhunting is in the blood i think.

Lambie will get smashed.

Steyn will get smashed

Basically , you're gunna get smashed.

Just what you need before the finals- a weakened Bull side ,

Sweet as

it might not have been the usual fast and furious brilliant attacking rugby display loved by fans of rugby all over, but the NZ darbys were still good spectacles IMO, especially the crusaders blues games.
i think teams need to watch out for the crusaders, cos they have just put on veyy dominant back to back performances against two top 6 teams, and the ease in which they did it was crazy.

carter was a machine on defence, not just for the sheer number of tackles he made, but how he often put himself in a position where the blues ball carrier who was looking to spread it outwide, had no choice but to run it instead.
he hardly ran the ball which was odd, even for those consditions, but his workrate was boss.

i dont mind cruden as well, without anscombe there to lighten his general workrate, hes starting to take things on more himself, just as well barlows back cos that pairing will help with the anscombless transition.
