This is a point that I try to emphasize with posters here. Sometimes people evaluate a players performance at a lower level competition with the performance of a player at the higher level.
Playing against the All Blacks or any other top5 test team that is in good form is much different than playing club/regional competition.
Everyone is saying that at least 5 younger SA scrumhalf's are better than Pienaar, and that Pienaar is past it etc etc.
When Pienaar hit the scene at SuperXV level, if I recall he got man of the match in his first game. He was clearly an international potential player.
Some of the scrumhalf's even in SuperXV level, if they played in the bok team against the All Blacks -they would get killed.
Players look better when the opposition is weaker, and worse when the opposition is good.

Pienaar hasn't played well at scrummie against the top 10 international teams nevermind top 5! Below average test scrum half, Reinach needs to prove himself this season.
