This from Rugby Mag . . .

"Just to keep everyone updated on the impact of cancelled games on the fantasy: we have a mechanism in place that awards the average player gameweek score to each of the players involved in any cancelled fixture (this score is the average of all the scores achieved by players playing in the gameweek, not the average score for the individual player).

This means you can effectively still choose those players involved in any cancelled fixtures and earn points (or release them and choose others if you think they'll perform better; up to you). Just to clarify too, there are no changes to transfer rules.

As ever, any questions, get in touch: edward@therugbymagazine.com"

No updates on the Superbru game with regards to cancelled matches.

How do we know whether the teams will in fact be announced?

So the matches between New Zealand vs Italy ... as well as England vs France have been cancelled.

Such a pity.

Sunday's matches are still to be decided on.

"How do we know whether the teams will in fact be announced?"
Who cares? What difference does it make if the game is not going to be played?
"Sunday's matches are still to be decided on."
It's not about which day is cancelled or not, it's about the location. Games that have been cancelled are the games scheduled to take place around east coast cities like Yokohama and Tokyo which is where the typhoon will hit. Ireland's game against Samoa is scheduled for Saturday and that game will go ahead as it's in Fukuoka which is on the western coast.
The Japan vs Scotland game is scheduled for Sunday in Yokohama. The only reason they haven't made a call on that game yet is because they're hoping the typhoon would have come and gone already by Sunday but I very much doubt if that game will happen either which will be a big pity because it's the one fixture which can still decide who goes through to the knockouts or not.

Yes, I'm aware of this ... obviously the weather determines which matches are cancelled and which are not.

The weather is unpredictable and one isn't sure from day to day ... hence them holding off on cancelling any matches on Sunday.

A small change to this update that could be important:
"If teams are announced, it's the players involved who receive this score, if not, it is the entire team that receive this score."
So basically if you have a player in your team whose game is cancelled, you'll score the average points for the round for that player UNLESS the team was announced and your player wasn't part of the match 23.
This won't have an impact on New Zealand, Italy, France and England players as those games were cancelled before teams were announced but it may have an impact on the Scotland vs Japan game if those teams are announced and the game is then cancelled. If that is the case, you'll only score average points if your player is part of the announced squad.
Probably won't be a factor but could be important.
