This weekend we saw the Stormers spoil the Bulls party. The week before it was almost the Sharks upsetting the Bulls. With both these two SA teams (Sharks and Stormers) playing for no more than pride, we saw them still go out there an give it there all. They were out to do no favours for their fellow countrymen and they were playing to win in a fair competition.

Then we get the Blues v Chiefs last night and Chris Pollocks performance. An official enquiry must take place there. We saw Pollock going out of his way to make sure the Chiefs win that game! Red card for rucking on the shoulder blades/back?? Yellow card for Kerr knocking the ball on whilst trying to intercept. We see that in open play all the time. That was just great play by Kerr. The ball did not go out before bouncing in the field of play, his hands were facing up. It was nothing more than a dropped attempted catch. That red card was a penalty at most. Not even a yellow card.

The refs must be more mindful of the paying public. That totall ruins the game. Any momentum the Blues got was quickly snuffed out by Pollock. Chiefs had full reign. They were never going to be "allowed" to lose that game because NZL know exactly what will happen if the final is in SA! Chiefs can still taste the 2009 final against the Bulls.

When will this shit from these kiwi's end?? Play a fair game man! Waratahs almost upset the Reds. Force upset the Brumbies but Kiwi's were never gona let the game be left up to the players!

I hope now the Crusaders get through now and knock the Chiefs out (which is likely what will happen as Chiefs have faded badly) and Bulls win their semi so it back fires on these cheating bastards!

..um i think the ref was only acting on a report from the linesman was'nt he when he issued the red card as play was allowed to continue up til then.??? Sounds like you're blaming the ref who was acting on the touch judges report for the Bulls pitiful performance lol.

High stakes now though and the Kiwis have a strong hand thanks to the Stormers. Thanks Bweeno. Good stuff mate.

Also highlighting a very average Bulls outfit not looking like much either so looks like the Kiwis are heavy favourites.

Just think Boklogic , you'll be able to watch the final live at Waikato stadium. Not many yarpies get that chance so please stop your whinging and just enjoy the game...

Boklogic I think the whole issue was crooked by the referee so as to ensure a Chiefs win. I think that a Red Card would have been appropriate if the player was injured - not otherwise. I think even the yellow card of Kerr was rubbsish. The referee saw that his first measure did not have the desired effect and then took further action to ensure that the Chiefs end up the victors in the game. That was the end of the story and Kirwan is right about the whole issue. I think the quality of refereeing in New Zealand is poor in any event and hope that Pollock is not reffing anu further games in Super 15. I hope there is no Ne Zealand refs reffing the Brumbies - Cheetahs game - since they would cook that one as well - in the hope that the Cheetahs will have to play the Chiefs in the semis in an effort to ease the Chiefs through to he final at home. If the Brumbies beat the Cheetahs - the semis will be between the Chiefs and the Crusaders and that would almost certainly means a Chiefs loss. That has the potential of the final be outside of New Zealand - so we can expect some real shennanigans to eliminate such a situation.

Clevermike what does the rule book say out of interest in such an event ?

Especiallly considering he was unsighted at the time of the alleged incident where contact was made with the head.

Were the refs hands tied by rigid rules or was the option of putting it on report available instead ?

Unless you can quote the rulebook then you're just speculating to suit your own agenda.

Denny, common denominator is kiwi blood. Sure Welsh is under the Aussie banner but he pumps kiwi blood and that is the problem..They can not help themselves. They need to manipulate results wherever they can! Bent as fuck!!

Steinlager, Chiefs wont get passed the Saders my friend so dont get your hopes up on a Waikato based final! They could hardly get passed a 13 man Blues team with the help of the ref and Saders showed them exactly what they are worth a couple weeks ago! Also, it was not a call from the Assistan ref. The ref asked to see the replay on the big screen and he made the call!

Poi-e, rucking heads is a non-entity here because no head was rucked. Surely the best man to determine whether his head was stood on would be Craig Clarke himself. He confirmed that this was not the case.

Kiwi refs will do the necessary to ensure kiwis are in the best possible position to win. Thats what that was. Pollock do his best to make the final in NZL again because he knows what happens in SA!

Umm rucking/stamping is illegal in rugby anyway, if you're daft enough to do it in front of an AR with even the suggestion of head contact then you deserve everything you get, Barrett forced Chris Pollocks hand he or JK cant have too many complaints...

As for Bulls, their destiny was in their own hands, they blew it, you can't pin that on Chris Pollock

poi-e I looked at that incident a couple of rimes and there was no clear evidence that he rucked his head. Even the player concerned - Clark - mentioned nothing of the kind. Sure rucking is not acceptable - but a red card is not called for - a yellow card definitely at most. The yellow card incident was a farce - it happened often enough that players jumped up to intercept a ball and I have never seen a yellow card for that before. Mostly a scrum if the ball is knocked on or in exceptional circumstances if a try is about to be scored a penalty and yellow card - but the latter was not applicable in this case. This really smelled bad and I would not be surprised if Pollock gets a cooling off period to think about his poor display - much like they did with Berry - the SA ref who fouled up badly in the Stormers - Cheetahs game. However, it is not only my impression - it is Kirwan's as well - so it is likely that there will be a storm brewing in New Zealand circles about that one.

Poi-I cmon you have to admit the Kiwi refs are shit. In fact in NZ they do not give a fuck about referees. They even made Bryce referee of the year who not up to standard. Look at the line of cock ups that came from NZ refereeing the game. Lawrence, Walsh, Pollock.

Only ray of light and one on the right path is Glen Jackson who isatill developing

Look who is doing duty on the Kiwi referees website giving people advice

LMFAO, :oD

blame NZ refreee in a chiefs v blues match, for the bulls not finishing on top of the ladder, o_O
thats right up there with beeno1 aka storminged saying the frenchies should just forget about the All Blacks test if a NZ ref is officiating, LMFAO, :oD

re head stomp
IMO barret did stamp on his head, replay of the incident was conclusive when the TMO played it for the ref, dont think it deserved a red though, i agreed with the commentators at most it was a yellow card at most, but was something that looked a lot worse then it was>
what i do find funny is that barrets ruck of the head which is what it was was a million times worse then what thomoson did to the scottish dude which the scottish dude even testified too saying it was nothing, but the cries about foul play were rampant, but now that the result dosent go a certain way, its time to break out the worlds smallest violins, for the worlds most whinging fans.

pollock was pretty poo in that game though and the chiefs reaped the benefits of his incompetence big time, but the crying and whinging here as if the chiefs couldnt beat the blues has me going YAWWWWWWWWWN!!!!

Boklogic Pollock had a crap game, how you extrapolate that to manipulating results reinforces how some SA posters grasp Conspiracy theories to explain losses. If this was the case then it in effect is match fixing which as far as I know is a criminal offence....any charges laid? I think Ali Williams summed it up best when he asked Pollock after the red carding "What game do you think we're playing", Pollock is one of those refs who overreacts when he sees a lifted boot and if continues to have crappy games then demote him.

Look guys, you are missing the point. No one is blaming Pollock for the Bulls finishing second. What we are saying is that he did his darndest to make sure the Chiefs were in with a shout of finishing 1st and giving them a chance of hosting a NZL final should it all go according to plan.

Not saying the Blues would have one in any event but Pollock made sure they didnt! Blues did look the better team and Chiefs have been fading the past few weeks. I guess we will never know if the Blues could have won and we have Pollock to thank for that.

No doubt he was "let know" before the game that in the interests of NZ rugby, the Chiefs must win this game. Sure no charges have been laid but are they ever? Were they laid against Lawrence or was he just sacked like the piece of shit he is?

All we are saying is that fair refs let the players dictate the game. Sure it would have been awesome for the Bulls and Brumbies to win for their respective countries but they did not beat their opponents. Ref blew a fair game. Blues were up against it from the start and something needs to be done.

I feel the Bulls will be too strong for the the Brumbies/Cheetahs at home when you take travel in to account and they will meet the Crusaders at Loftus anyway so it may just backfire on the Kiwi's this time.

How come every questionable rugby game has been reffed by a kiwi. 2007 Super 14 final - Steve Walsh (cant escape the kiwi blood under Aussi flag.) SA vs Ireland and O'Gara's try - Paul Honiss! 2011 WC semi final SA vs Aus - Bryce Lawrence. 2013 Blues vs Chiefs (game questioned by Kiwi himself JK) - Chris Pollock. 2011 WC Aus vs Ireland - Bryce Lawrence??

See Kiwi's, this is one issue you can not sweep under the table with jokes or retaliation. This is a real problem. You guys are bent as fuck and now we must believe that your players are drug free?? Ha ha you guys are the kings of cover ups and cheating but like Lance Armstrong..It will all come out one day when one of these bent fucks is short of cash and needs to write a book exposing all!

I am starting to see why NZ rugby has such a great record. Your refs are the biggest reason for that.

Boklogic we all, apart from a few denialist kiwis, know nz refs are as bent as boomerangs. Is this the same Pollock that blew the Stormers out of a game against the crusties.

What is hugely funny is to see kiwis going ballistic at how bad a kiwi ref is - hahahahahaahhahahahahahaha tough on the blues of course but soooo funny.

then note how the kiwi bird brain twist matters so as to make it look as if we are blaming a kiwi ref for bulle coming second on the log after their whipping by the Mighty Stormers. Its called creating a diversion.

Note though that kiwis never complain if its a foreign side getting the short end via a bent kiwi ref.

saSUE whereas StormingEd was clearly mortified by my associating him with you he is no doubt highly flattered by you associating him with me! Thats the difference saSUE.

No I still say ban all kiwi refs.  Enough is enough.

By the way do you kiwis realise 4 of the top eight sides are SA teams. Also our third strongest side came second on the log. Makes you think eh kiwis. But for a huge injury toll (And bent kiwi refs) we might have had three sides in the top four?

No one else seems to have a problem with kiwi refs or kiwi anything except SA posters to this forum, how come there is no outcry from the SA coaches, players, or officialdom about the reffing, so its a real problem because SA forum posters say its so but to the people who are actually entrenched in the game, the stakeholders, nary a complaint justifying action. No the reason NZ has a great record is because we have great teams, history over 100 yrs supports this, and crook refs Boklogic, you've had your share as I've mentioned several posts in past, and AB team travelling to SA pre islolation expected to play the playing 15 and the ref as there were no neutrals, so if there are bent refs SA pioneered it.

Perhaps try investing in a Crusaders or Chiefs jersey next year .

Poly, no SA coaches need to raise a concern..Your own countrymen are doing it for us! Going Chris Pollock..Take your seat alongside Bryce and co in the rugby all time hall of shame or in NZL "Hall of fame!"

You right, SA does have one ref who allowed himself to succomb to pressure once but hey, you guys love him. He did it so u can win the 2011 WC!

Based on the Chiefs performance of late and the intensity the Blues played with, yes, the Chiefs would not have won that game on the night or at least would have had an extremely hard time doing so. They are fading badly and are going to become easy beats for the far superior Crusaders. Crusaders have a bit of brain..All the Chiefs had was SBW..Is it any wonder the Chiefs are also proud holders of the team that has leaked the most tries this year? They are just lucky that to date, they have scored the most too but against the Saders, expect them just to leak!

Steinlager, im glad you feel you have the authority to tell people where to go. When I am good and ready I will head to Aussie where we get a bit of sun and straighter refs! As for league, its a crap game but judging how our forwards dominate you guys, I reckon we would dominate there if we took it seriously. Big guys from numbers 1 to 13 thrashing you cakes but thankfully, we like to use our brains a bit as opposed to a "war of attrition" that is rugby league. Pity the kiwi's are the Aussies bunnies in league too so is it really your game??

Considering you're living in NZ  i really shouldn't have to school you with the facts but  the Kiwis are World Champions at Rugby League and have been for the last four years.

The Bunnies though are winning the NRL i think thats Russel Crowes team , A Kiwi winning the Aussie comp with his Rabbitohs.

And South Africa has got a league team no doubt playing in this years WC in October even if you want to disown them . That's pretty typical of your fickle supporters though.

Transition some of them into your Bok team and they might be better than the players you've already got as SBW, Folau etc have proven for NZ and Oz.

Boklogic - well said. It is a well known and documented FACT that kiwis are cheats when it comes to rugby. Their manipulation of refs is now at the forefront of this farcical topic. I haven't yet found out who the ref is for Reds v Cruds tjhis weekend but my gut is telling me the rigged cheating cruds will employ Jackson who is no doubt the heir-apparent to the most BENT cheat of all Bryce Lawrence. I think as far as this goes Aussies and Saffas should unite to rid the rugby world of the scourge that is BENT kiwi refs..... Then we would see IF they are actually any good at rugby or just plain manipulating CHEATs!! Be well aware Boklogic I have seen the cheating go on for at least the past 5 seasons and whether its PCness or weak excuses like (incompetence) it is a travesty that cheating in professional rugby can be allowed to continue to the degree it does - PARTICULARLY when it always favours the kiwis.... I have hope though that the tides will turn and the cheats will be on the receiving end in the near future and then we shall hear some whinging!!!!!!!!!!

Lets not waste our time on this issue anymore. Kirwan - who is by all accounts a trusted and truthful person -was left fuming about it and it and has raised the issue with the Referees Panel. Pollock will no doubt at the very least be investigated and if the two incidents are indeed as questionable as they seemed - then action would be taken. This could be meaning a cooling-off period like happened to Berry after the foul up in the Cheetahs- Stormers game - or it could even be his removal from the penal to referee Super 15 games in future and fatal to his hopes to be on the international pool in future.

OMG, are there any moderate Saffa posters on this board anymore?  Mike are you now doing your best Beeno impression?  Chris Pollock has stated there is a clear instruction from the IRB that any contact with the boot to the head is an automatic red, the rucking/stamping (which is illegal anyway) may have been across the top of the shoulder but it was more than close enough to the back of the neck for a red card to be justifiable in this instance.

Just because JK has been knighted doesn't make him wrong.

As for Pollock, if you think you can do a better job Mike, by all means pick a whistle, otherwise try to objectively watch a game of rugby for a change, the continual bleating about ref performances after every single match ad nauseam is seriously getting old, and frankly smacks of poor sportsmanship.  I'd expect that kind of behavious from the trolls on this board (Illogical Smallcock, Aussie Alucard and Beeno/StormingEd/StoringEd*/WPSupporter) but I didn't consider you an out and out troll...maybe I gave you too much credit.

As for Blackadder ending Bryce Lawrences career, absolute unsubstantiated garbage again.
