Rugby votes to leave Europe...

.....along seemingly with most of the U.K. This isn't quite the Wall coming down , but something kids will read in the history books 200 years from now. It isn't quite done yet, but even the BBC is calling for an exit win.
The old world, north of England even Birmingham are voting out. People are as 'mad as hell and they ain't going to take anymore'.

 Mozart - the EU has become a nightmare for the ordinary people and workers  for a variety of reasons - and the workers are hopping mad.  Immigration is also a serious source of discontent among many people in the UK.   I did not expect a win for the In campaign and said so in the past.

They are leaving because Europe said there can be no upper limit to immigrants from other European countries including recent immigrants from the Middle East. 

 What wonderful news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The EU may yet save themselves from the one world government, multicuturalist globalist elites. It's a win against all odds with the elitist media, large corporates. IMF, Goldman Sachs etc etc all fighting hard with their lies. I hope Soros lost huge amounts of monet. Very evil man
Great boost also for Trum*p who is pounding crooked hillary. Trum*p will win the presidency with ease.Go also Marine Le Pen who is soaring. Go Wilders in the Netherlands. Danes you get out of this disfunctional EU.Best of all give that witch Merkle the boot.Then its time to have a number of trials for treason. Obummer, Clinton, Merkle, Hollande and Cameron spring to mind. They have done immense harm to their countries. I think with Trump as president obummer and crooked hillary could well go to jail.Let this be a warning to obummer and crooked hillary and the rest of these rats.

 We have all seen what an open door mass immigration policy has done to various countries in Europe.
I have friends in Germany who have told me that it's a nightmare there. 
To subject your citizens to such a threat is completely insane.
Don't be surprised if other countries follow suite. 
The markets will stabilise after the initial shock.  
I'm impressed with the British people. Didn't think they'd go that far.

 My wife and I voted out and I stayed up all night watching the results roll in, so very happy today. It is was o nly Scotland Ireland and London that kept the remain in the race.Migration is an issue but for me the fact that the EU is more and more in control of our local laws was the red flag.   

Cameron has stepped down. You see African leaders , this is how you do it. When your time is up, leave.

 Germany sold a massive amount of armaments to Greece and when they could not pay - the Greeks had to be bailed out and other countries are affected as well.   Germany uses the EU as an export market for their industries.  The UK has a massive trade deficit with the EU - 80% of that deficit is with Germany.   What happened in Fra nce - where industry suffered badly - and thousands of industries closed since the introduction of the EU - causing joblessness in especially the northern area of France - the point is that in England it was also happening and it was the workers - who normally voted Labour to vote for Brexit.  I am not sure that the Super-Government - not really a democratic Government either - will succeed in future.     

The amount of money Britain pay into the EU annually is the same that it will pay to trade with them anyway once they exit the EU. The EU regulations that Brittish manufacturers have to comply with currently, which are said to be so debilitating, are the exact same as what they will need to meet if they wish to trade with the EU since the EU won't change it's requirements just because the Brits have left. Leaving the EU amounts to Britain turning it's back on the immigration issue rather than taking positive steps to reform it's social benefit system. I feel that a big part of the "out" vote comes from people on social benefit who feel less migrants will mean a bigger benefit pot for them. My view is that leaving the EU is a mistake. Though having lived in Oxford for most of my adult life, I get where the average Brit is coming from by wanting to leave.

On the plus side, the Rand is looking much stronger against the £ right now :) What are your predictions Moz? Currently it's 20/1 Shall I wait a few days or buy some now, before the Rand nose dives against the £ again?

They do have the largest amount but they are most certainly not carrying the lot.For the 2015 budget Germany contributed 21.36%, France 15.72% and the UK 12.57%.

 The Rand is stronger versus the Ozzie $ as well, not a great gain but a gain nevertheless, word is for the £ to depreciate by 15%

 The EU should never have been more than a Free Trade area. When faceless bureaucrats are telling grannies in the UK they can't have an electric kettle you know there is overreach.
The pound will be very volatile in the short term, but it's probably not far from a short term lower equilibrium. My logic is the following. The pound has been as high as 1.58 to the dollar in the last year....averaging down to about 1.45 when Brexit was a 50/50. So half of the effect is about 13 cents. Which says the whole effect is another 13 cents.....which would give you a low value of 1.32. Not scientific, but that's my thumb suck.
Best stick with bitcoins Plum, less volatile.....Hahahaha.
By the way HasBeen, don't buy into this rubbish about Goldman Sachs. It is a scrupulously ethical company, staffed by competent hard working people.

EU workers do get some nice deals. My ex's dad was a translator in Brussels and worked at the EU for 25 years. During my girlfriend's studies she paid no fees, and got £2k per month until the age of 27 as long as she studied. She did manage a PHD from Oxford and an award for finishing in the top 3 of her year, which isn't bad considering the quality of that university. Her dad had himself retired at 58 and managed to do so on 80% of his salary. Until he leaves this earth he will be receiving €9k a month. Not bad if you ask me. Something strange happened at one time. He phoned us one evening and said we had to write down a bunch of things about close friends, colleagues that we spent a lot of time with, and I had to give a list of names of family members that I spend the most time with as well as giving details of trips to other countries. He needed all of this as part of a new EU security protocol for it's employees. The next day 7/7 happened. I was always weirded out by that coincidence. He once told me that he was not sure that he had ever laid an eye on a single honorouble politician in all his time there. An odd statement considering the guy's job was to sit in meeting after meeting listening to everything that was said.

 Thats exactly what we have voted to get rid of. Quite pathetic what they have got away with for so long.

 Speaking about honorable politicians, I heard Tony Blair whining about this exit. For an ex leader of the country it was a truly pathetic message ....made me wonder how much lobbying he is doing for European institutions.

For good or ill the Brits want to seize their own fate....it's the only path to greatness, Europe is fast becoming a morass of mediocrity. Brave hearts the Brits.
